The Chunin Exams Begin

Team 7 had been back in Konoha for around a week and a half, and during that time, they had been training and doing D-Rank missions.

Sasuke was training his fire style and learning new fire jutsu, along with Kakashi teaching him how to use his Sharingan.

Sakura wasn't doing any training at all.

Naruto was working on his taijutsu and shuriken throwing.

And Raiden was researching hand seals to create his new Jutsu, and during his research, he discovered that it was possible to shorten the hand seals of Jutsu, so he was attempting to shorten the hand seals of his lightning ball Jutsu. He got it from 4 hand seals down to just 1.

Now the four genin of Team 7 were waiting at their usual meeting place for their sensei, who was late again. And despite the impressive teamwork that Naruto and Sasuke showed during the Wave mission, both are back to glaring at each other.

'I don't understand these two. (sigh) They worked great as a team in Wave, so why are they back to glaring at each other?'

"Ugh, I didn't have time to blow-dry my hair today because I was afraid of being late, and now Kakashi-sensei is late again," Sakura complained.

"Yeah, I didn't get to change my underwear cause I was afraid of being late," Naruto commented.

"Ew! Don't tell me that baka!" Sakura screeched.

A puff of smoke appeared right in front of the team, revealing Kakashi.

"Yo." He said with an eye smile and a wave.

"Your Late!" Sakura and Naruto yelled at him.

"Sorry I got lost on the road of life," Kakashi responded.

"Liar!" Sakura and Naruto yelled again.

"Ma ma, anyway, I came here to say that there are no missions today, so take today to relax. Ja Ne." And with that, Kakashi disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Once he was gone, Naruto walked off, saying something about going to get ramen. Sasuke walked towards the Uchiha Compound, Sakura walked off somewhere, while Raiden walked towards his favorite tea shop. 

~Later~

Raiden was about to walk into the tea shop when a kid came speeding by with an angry Sakura on his tail, followed by Naruto and two more kids. Raiden watched this and sighed before jumping up to the rooftops and following Naruto's little group. 

Raiden landed on a rooftop to see the kid who had been chased by Sakura was now being held up by an individual in what looked like a black catsuit with a blonde female companion behind him. But as he got a better look at the kid who was being held up, he recognized him as the Hokage's grandson, Konohamaru. 

The person in the black catsuit was getting ready to punch the kid when he suddenly felt a blade against his throat. He looked down in fear to see a kunai prepared to cut his throat with the slightest movement. The blonde female's eyes were wide in shock and fear, 'He just appeared out of nowhere!' she thought as she stared at Raiden's back.

"Unless you want to die, I suggest you drop the Hokage's grandson," Raiden said in a cold voice that promised death if he disobeyed.

The guy in black dropped Konohamaru, and Raiden removed the kunai from his throat, allowing the man in black to walk around Raiden, who didn't move an inch, to get to his blonde companion. Once he was next to his companion, she started speaking to Raiden, who still had his back turned to them.

"I'm sorry about my brother. We don't want to cause any trouble."

Raiden turned around to face them, "You don't, but your brother certainly does..." Raiden trailed off as he finally got a good look at the blonde. And she was gorgeous, to say the least.
