Raiden woke up the next day to find out that Team 7 had given Zabuza and Haku a proper burial. Since there was no ninja after Tazuna and Gato was dead, the bridge was finished faster and was now complete.

Team 7 was now standing at the bridge and was saying goodbye to the villagers who had come out to see them off. Naruto and Inari shed some tears, and Team 7 finally took off on their journey back to Konoha. Everything seemed to have returned to normal, Sakura asking Sasuke and Raiden out on a date and being told no, Naruto asking Sakura out on a date and being punched by Sakura. Everything seemed to go back to how it was before. Sasuke and Raiden were ahead of the group talking.

Sasuke looked over to Raiden, "Hey, Raiden."

"Yeah, Sasuke?"

"How did you get so strong?"

"Oh. Well, a few months after... the incident... I met this woman being harassed by a couple of drunk shinobi. She embarrassed them, and I defended her when they tried to attack her. She turned out to be a kenjutsu master and had offered to train me because she saw some potential in me to become a kenjutsu master. So she trained me for the next four years. She trained me in kenjutsu, taijutsu, and chakra control."

"But what about your lightning Jutsu? Did she teach you that?"

"No, she just told me about the exercises for lightning control, and I did that all by myself, although she did teach me how to channel my lightning chakra into my sword. I use a style that works with my speed and agility to evade attacks and deliver lightning-fast ones back at them."

"So you learned all those lightning Jutsu by yourself?!" Sasuke asked, sounding surprised.

"Well yeah, but some of those techniques I made myself," Raiden responded.

"Teach me then!" Sasuke half demanded, half asked.

"Sasuke, I can't teach you them," Raiden replied calmly.

"Why not?!" Sasuke yelled.

"Because Sasuke, the techniques I created require perfect lightning chakra control. If you don't have perfect control, you could fry the nerves in your body." Raiden responded in a cold voice.

"What?" Sasuke asked wide-eyed with a fearful look.

"The technique I created called 'Shunpo' channels lightning chakra straight into your feet to move at insane speeds. If you don't have perfect lightning chakra control, you could fry the nerves in your feet, making it so that you could never walk again. That's why I can't teach you, Sasuke. Plus, even if you have a lightning affinity, it would have to be high like mine."

"What do you mean high lightning affinity? It doesn't matter what affinity you have to be able to use all the elements." Sasuke replied.

"That's where you're wrong. The element or elements you have an affinity to will come easier to you and won't cost as much chakra as an element you don't have an affinity to. Yugao-sensei said that I had one of the highest lightning affinities she's ever seen, and she's seen a lot, having been in the previous war."

"I see," Sasuke stated sadly.

Raiden saw this and suddenly came up with an idea. "Hey, Kakashi-sensei."

"Yeah?" Kakashi replied, looking up from his book.

"Do you have any chakra paper on you?" Raiden asked.

"Chakra Paper? Yeah, I have a few. Why?"

"I wanted to test Sasuke's affinity."

Naruto chimed in, "Hey, I wanna test mine too!"
