Return: He Did What?!

Several days after the fight with Orochimaru, the group consisting of Tsunade, Shizune (and Tonton), Jiraiya, Naruto, and Raiden, were finally approaching the gates of Konoha. The two eternal gate guards were so surprised to see two of the legendary Sannin that they didn't even stop them to check their IDs. The group walked along the streets of Konoha drawing stares from the people who saw them as they were heading to the Hokage Tower. 

The group arrived at the tower, and they headed up to the council chamber, where both the civilian and shinobi council were already assembled along with the Hokage advisors. Tsunade was immediately inducted in as the Fifth Hokage and was set to take office the next day after her speech. 

As soon as the meeting was over, Naruto practically dragged Tsunade to the hospital to heal his friends. Raiden followed and went with them as Tsunade healed Kakashi and Sasuke from their ailments from fighting with Itachi. She told them that they'd be able to leave in a few hours if they wanted. Once she healed Sasuke, Tsunade then left, with Naruto following, but Raiden stayed with Sasuke.

"Sasuke, how are you?" he asked in concern while sitting beside Sasuke's bed.

Sasuke looked at Raiden with empty eyes, "He made me watch it." Sasuke stated. Raiden quickly figured out that Itachi had made Sasuke watch the massacre all over again.

"Sasuke... I'm sorry you had to witness that again." Raiden said with pity.

"I wasn't strong enough to kill him... all because I didn't have enough hate," Sasuke said with a dark look in his eyes. "I need more power," he growled out with his hands clenched in fists of rage.

Raiden could only sigh and shake his head in disappointment, "Sasuke, you must stop this quest for power. Don't you see what this is turning you into? You're going down the same path as Itachi in your hunger for power."

"I am nothing like Itachi! I'm better than him! And I will get stronger by any means necessary!" Sasuke raged, and unbeknownst to Raiden, his curse mark started glowing.

Raiden stared at him unflinching for a minute before he stood up and turned around, walking towards the door, stopping just before opening it. "If that is how you truly feel, you are already far too gone. You aren't the Sasuke I know.... you aren't my brother." with that said, Raiden walked out of the room and exited the hospital.

~Uchiha Compound~

Raiden knew that there was a place he needed to visit after his eyes had started to burn a few days ago, the Uchiha Shrine. The Shrine was a stone tablet left by the ancestors of the Uchiha detailing the abilities of the Sharingan, and it could only be read by someone with a Sharingan. When Raiden first read the tablet after he acquired his Sharingan, he was confused about why he could only read a third of the tablet, but now he knew why. There was a second stage to the Sharingan that he never knew about. He arrived at the tablet and kneeled before it, respecting the ancestors. He activated his Sharingan and was able to read the third, which he had previously read, he then pushed more chakra into his eyes, and he felt them change as the rest of the tablet became visible.

'The second stage of the Sharingan is called the Mangekyou Sharingan. Not much is known about this version of the Sharingan other than a few most common abilities with the Mangekyou Sharingan. The Mangekyou Sharingan is obtained by the user either killing a loved one or in a moment of intense emotion like the death of a friend. An ability shown with the Mangekyou Sharingan in both eyes is the Susanoo which surrounds the user with their chakra creating a humanoid-like avatar that will fight on their behalf. Another ability shown with one eye is Amaterasu, which produces black flames that will burn everything and never stop until the user wants it. All Mangekyou Sharingan are unique unto themselves, and the user will have to discover for themselves the new abilities of their eyes. However, if the Mangekyou Sharingan is overused and/or used too often, the user will go blind. The Mangekyou Sharingan also can control the tailed beasts.'
