A/N this is it! The last of "Zombie Apocalypse" Man, November 2013 - March 2015. This has been such an amazing journey and I have had so much fun getting all your comments and seeing how invested you all got in the story and characters. I guess now would be the time to say that this book has been 100% writing by me, Shannon Douglas and I hope this doesn't get copied by anyone ahaha.

Thanks everyone! Here's the EPILOGUE to Zombie Apocalypse...

"Its been five years since my friends and I made it to this base. It was a tough and scarring experience that no seventeen year old should have to go through, but we made it and this is the best outcome we could have hoped for. Yes we are still working on a cure and it hasn't been an easy process, the testing has put many of the Tech's life in danger and it breaks me to say that I lost a dear friend of mine whose experiment went awry."

I kept my eyes on the audience and moved my front cue card to the back.

I cleared my throat before continuing.

"On a brighter note, I myself found great happiness during this terrible time and it makes me proud  to say that I am happily married" Claps arose from the crowd, a smile crept across my face.

"So don't give up, ever, no matter how tough it gets. It does get better, push yourself and i guarantee you can find some aspect of happiness like i have. Thank you"

The group stood and cheered. I nodded and stepped off the podium. I scanned the audience and flashed them a grin.

I walked down the stairs  and greeted some of the audience members.

"I have a question" A blonde boy around the age of fifteen said. I gripped the cue cards in my hand tighter.

"Sure" I smiled at him. He flicked a paper over his clipboard and started to read from the sheet.

"Paxton, was that the friend who passed?" He brought his pen up to his lips and rested it in the corner of his mouth, eyes focused on mine.

"Uh- Yes it was but how-"

"-She came here with you, right?"

"Yes, but why-"

"She died at nineteen right?"

"Yes but what-"

"I'm writing a paper on her, we have to choose a person from the camp that has died for the greater good. I thought Paxton would be a good idea"

I dropped my head and smiled to myself. She would love to know that people are writing about her.

"She would have adored that" I placed my hand on his shoulder and rubbed it a little.

Just as the boy began to walk away a hand curled around my waist.

"Claire made a good decision picking you to talk to the older students about your story. Its inspiring"  Peter cooed. I smacked his hand away and turned to face him.

"Its the same story as you, genius" I said rolling my eyes at him.

"I guess, but you explain it better" He pulled me closer and placed a kiss on my lips ever so slightly.

"Disgusting, keep that shit behind closed doors for Gods sake"

How charming I thought to myself.

"Thank you Mason for those words of wisdom" Peter called. Mason in his army uniform nodded and grinned.

"Anytime" He said with open arms, a cunning smirk lathered on his face.

"Hows Karli?" I asked as i gave him a warm greeting, which consisted of a hug and a smack on the back of the head.
