When I opened my eyes I saw Mrs. Jiang sitting at the side of my bed. Tiredness gracing her beautiful face. She was doing something in her phone. I tore my gaze away from her and looked around. I was in my room and Mr. Jiang was sitting at the recliner at the side, dozing off. Were they awake all night?

I cough a little. I need water. Hearing me waking up Mrs. Jiang looked at me. Her eyes showing relief and a happy glow. I try to get up and I feel a surge of energy flow through my veins and makes me feel lightweight. I extend my hand to get the glass of water on my nightstand. Mrs. Jiang instantly rushes to get me the glass and help me drink.

"How do you feel?" I look at her and then at Mr. Jiang on the recliner. "He's been worrying all night. Looks like the old forest Fae is back." She pats my head while I drink the whole glass of water in a gulp.

"Are you okay? Do you feel anything different?" Mrs. Jiang scrutinizes me with her eyes.

"I'm fine. I feel light."

"You do. Don't you?" She shows a smile in her eyes. "You'll need to learn to control your power. Also you can't change to your Fae appearance for now. It'll take a few days to change. I and your father with help you. Okay?"

"Father?" She nods. I like how the word gives a connection to the man sleeping peacefully on my recliner in my heart. I feel like associating him as my father too. But a part of me still hesitates. So I just stay silent. It's a lot to take in. To learn that I'm a Fae all of a sudden on my twenty-ninth birthday isn't definitely a normal thing to expect.

"It's ok, A-Zhan. If you're not ready you can call us as you did before." I could feel she was sad. "You can shower and then we can talk all you want. Ok?"

I just nod.

"Oh and I invited A-Qing's sworn sister Yanli. She'll be here at lunch."

I nod again.

I enter the bathroom to shower. I heard Mr. and Mrs. Jiang leave the room. I look at the bathroom mirror. I don't see anything different. Am I different? But I do feel different. I do feel the surge of energy flowing through all over my body. And I do feel I'm a new person.

Then what about all these years? What happens now?

I look at my reflection which is the same as my twenty nine years old self I've seen yesterday, but somehow is different.

Suddenly I see fig everywhere. And then when it clears up I see someone completely different looking back at me from the mirror.

The reflection looks at me with the same face as me and blue eyes looking at me, face showing equally scared expression I might be showing! They have green tints on the end part of their light blue hair. Also when I look closely they have a green ring surrounding their blue eyes. They look beautiful at the same time terrifying.

I lift my left hand to the mirror but my hands stop midair. There's a mark I can see on the mirror on the inner side of my left hand wrist. The reflection also lifted their right hand and stopped midair. I look at my own wrist and find the mark there.

Wait! Is that my reflection? Is that me?

I look down at my body and get the biggest shock of my life until now. I was wearing the same green outfit as the reflection in the mirror.

It's really me! Did I just change my appearance? Unknowingly? Ugggggh!

"A-Zhan! Ni meishi ba?"

I heard mot-Mrs. Jiang calling me from outside the bathroom. What is happening? What do I do now? How do I get back to the old me? Will this keep happening from now?

"OMG!" I freak out!

"A-Zhan! What happened? You're worrying us! What's wrong?" Soft bangs started coming from the door along with Mrs. Jiang's worried voice. I don't know what to do now!

I just open the door. I mean what other options do I have?

After opening the door I hear a gasp. Mrs. Jiang looks at me with surprise. Mr. Jiang being the more logical one looks at me up and down calmly.

"A-Zhan. How did you change?" It was Mr. Jiang who asked me.

"I don't know!"

I don't even remember what I'm thinking right now, much less when I changed. What the hell do you expect?

"I was just looking at the mirror when the room filled with fog. And then when it cleared, I'm like this." I became frantic. "I don't remember. I don't know what I was thinking. I'm sorry. I don't know."

"A-Zhan! A-Zhan! It's ok. Mom's got you!" Mrs. Jiang, pats my back as if to calm me down. Just like she used to do when I was seven. Mom? Well Mrs. Jiang is the closest I get to have anyone as a mother anyway.

"Mom?" I look at her. Her eyes shows a glow. But her eyes are teary. She nods. "What happens now? Will this keep happening to me?"

"No. A-Zhan. No. Not at all. You'll learn to control it. We'll help you." She hugs me and Mr. Jiang joins the hug as well.

"You promise?"

"We promise."

After getting help from Mr. and Mrs. Jiang and turning back to my original appearance I took a cold shower to calm my mind. After having breakfast I went back to my room to rest. But rest won't catch up to me. I keep turning around on the bed reflecting on the past 24 hours. It feels like a dream. But at the same time it's so much real.

Mrs. Jiang said today Bingqing's sworn sister will come. What will she be like? What is a sworn sister anyway?

Suddenly a knock sounded on my door. An old lady probably one of the many maids in the Jiang residence entered my room to inform me that I'm needed in the living room. Is she already here?

I nod at the maid. And she excuses herself.

Well! Here goes nothing.

At the living room there was a young woman sitting with Mrs. Jiang. She looks very pretty. But I think I've seen her somewhere. Mr. Jiang was nowhere to be found. I cough a bit to attract their attention.

".... A-Li! Didn't I tell you to call me Ayi? This is 21st century. Mother fae makes me sound old!"

"Ok. Mother fae-umm sorry. Ayi."

Listening to my voice they both look back at me. And their faces light up. The way that lady with my mother smiles makes me flustered. She's really beautiful.

"Ni shi A-Qing ma? You're A-Qing, right?" She comes closer to me her gaze never once leaving my face. She traces the features on my face. "Right. You really are our A-Qing."

I didn't know what got into me but suddenly as if by reflect I hugged her.

"Shijie!"

Hello my dear buzz buzz! So finally I'm back.... I went to my Nana's house to get away from my life for a bit... I did a lot of things there... I had fun planting trees and taking care of them.... Then taking care of the cattle and spending time at the river.... It was fun and very helpful to my health... The nausea and dizziness I was feeling is gone...

Also it was hard to stay away from my electronic devices for so long, but it was beneficial at the end!

Also about my mental health... I'm waiting for my Psych's report... We'll proceed after seeing the reports... So that's out there....
