"I'm sorry" (Pet regression Oikawa IwaOi FanFic)

Part 2.5

Tōru wakes up still in puppy space. He notices he is alone on the couch, then he sees his dad walk down the hall, he gives a happy bark, and Kai looks at him. "Hi Ru, I see you are awake now" Tōru watches as Kai walks into the kitchen where his mom is standing at the stove making dinner. Oikawa pushes himself to the end of the couch and stands up, on two legs, and starts walking. When he walks (while he is regressed) he looks weird since he isn't sure where to point his toes so they point inward and he doesn't know what to do with his arms so they just hang limp. He walks into the kitchen and puts his chin on his mom's shoulder nuzzling into the crook of her neck. Himori laughs "Ru Ru stop that tickles"

Kai smiles then walks to the front door to grab the package on the doorstep then accidentally leaves the door open when he walks to his room. Tōru walks away from his mom and heads to the front room but then he sees the front door open. He sees a dragonfly and tilts his head then tries to get closer to it but it flies up and lands on something that is a little farther away so he walks closer and the insect does it again. This keeps happening until Tōru looks up and he doesn't know where he is anymore. Tōru whimpers and looks around. he continues walking, people giving him weird stares because of the weird way he walks.

With Kai and Himori

Himori calls from the kitchen "Dinners ready" Kai says "Ok" as he walks down the hall. Then he notices the door is open "Um Himori, have you seen Tōru?" She starts walking over to him "Uh no, why?" He points to the open door "Shit"

Back with Oikawa

Tōru continues to walk down the street. He doesn't like being outside and he wants to go home, the people are weird, and the big weird moving things are loud. He looks up see's a boy with silver hair and for some reason, he wants to go over to him so he does. Tōru walks over and stops in front of Sugawara and Daichi, Sugawara smiles "Hey Tōru it's been a while how are you" Tōru tilts his head looking at Sugawara with innocent eyes. The two share a worried look and Daichi speaks up "Um Oikawa, you ok"

Oikawa walks forward and leans his head on Sugawara's shoulder nuzzling into the side of the teen's neck. Tōru whines then whimpers. Sugawara is pretty uncomfortable not because Tōru is touching him but because he knows something is wrong with his friend but he doesn't know what until he spots a pink collar hanging around Tōru's neck. "What is this" Sugawara reads the Collar "Oh" Daichi looks at Sugawara "what" Sugawara pets Oikawa's head "He's regressed" Daichi looks confused "Regressed?" "Like age regression" Sugawara nods "Except his isn't age it's pet regression, so he has the mindset of a puppy right now" Daichi nods

Daichi takes out his phone and calls Iwaizumi

Call - Iwaizumi Daichi

Hello

Hey, it's Daichi

uh hey, did you need something

Yeah, do you know Oikawa's address

Yes, why

Well we just found him and we are pretty sure he is regressed too, so whoever he was with is probably worried

Oh shit yeah I'll give you his address

Iwaizumi gives Daichi the address and the two decide to take Oikawa home.

Back with Himori and Kai

The two are panicking looking around the house, then looking around the yard and the neighborhood. When they don't find Tōru they go back into the house. Himori starts to cry and Kai rubs her back "I shouldn't have left the door open" Himori shakes her head "No, I should have been watching him" Then Kai's phone rings and Iwaizumi tells Kai that Sugawara and Daichi are on their way. Kai hangs up the phone and looks at his wife "Some of his friends found him and are bringing him back" Himori lets out a sigh of relief "Oh thank God"

The doorbell rings Himori and Kai rush to the door and open it to see Daichi and Sugawara standing there while Oikawa is hugging Sugawara from behind and being pretty clingy. "Thank you so much we were so worried" Tōru perks up at the sound of his dad's voice. Kai walks over to him, picking him up and setting him on his hip. Tōru lays his head on Kai's shoulder and whines. Himori looks at the two teens "Thank you for bringing him back, I don't know what we would have done, especially with him being in his headspace, and sorry if it was a little weird for you" Sugawars smiles "It was no trouble also we have a friend who is an age regressor so it wasn't that different" Daichi speaks up "I don't think he liked being outside though" Himori nods the two teens walk away as Kai takes Tōru into the house.

Kai sits on the couch with Tōru and Himori sits on the other side of Tōru. Tōru whimpers as tears start to fall from his eyes. Kai and Himori share a concerned look "What's wrong Ru" Tōru pushes his face further into the side of Kai's neck. "maybe he hurt himself can you check" Himori nods and starts looking at Tōru checking for injuries. She stops when she looks at the bottom of his foot noticing a big gash. "He has a big cut on his foot" "I'm gonna go get the first aid kit" Kai nods. Himori comes back and disinfects the cut Tōru whines and Kai wipes his tears. "I know it hurts, but she is almost done okay" Tōru doesn't understand so he lets out another whine and squirms. Himori puts some anabiotic on it and wraps it making the pain stop almost completely. Tōru reaches for his mother because he is feeling tired. Himori smiles and takes him setting him on her lap. He lays his head on her shoulder and falls asleep. Kai chuckles "I think he likes to be with me when he is awake and with you when he is tired" Himori laughs "yeah he does, doesn't he"

A little while later

Oikawa wakes up out of puppy space, he sits up noticing his foot is wrapped up. He looks over, seeing his mother "Hey Tōru" Oikawa keeps a stoic expression as he scratches his side "hm" Oikawa gets up and Himori goes to speak but Oikawa gives her a glare (not because he is mad at her but because he is tired) He limps to his room and takes a shower. Himori looks at Kai with a 'WTF' look. Kai rubs his nape and laughs nervously "He's an angry person when he wakes up" Himori looks at Kai boredly "Yeah I can tell"

Oikawa comes back, in a pair of jeans and no shirt. He limps into the kitchen and Kai looks at him "uh, why are you shirtless" Oikawa yawns "It's hot" Himori chimes in "I can turn on the AC for you" Oikawa looks at Himori surprised "Um ok, thank you" Himori walks down the hall and turns on the AC then walks back in and gives her husband a 'can you leave us alone' look and he nods walking out. Himori grabs a plate from the counter and puts it in front of Tōru "Here I made you dinner, I hope you like it" Oikawa takes a bite then looks at his mom nervously and talks In a quiet voice "It's good" Himori smiles "I'm glad you like it but I wanted to talk to you about something" Oikawa nods "I wanted to apologize for the way I have treated you all these years, I-I wanted to apologize earlier but I just didn't now how" Tears start to fall from Himori's eyes and she looks to the side "well that and I just felt so guilty and that I could never be forgiven and if I was I shouldn't be that I just didn't change" Tōru's eyes widen and he hugs his mother "It's ok I forgave you a long time ago" Himori sniffles "Why" Tōru smiles a little "Because your my mom, I can't hate you" Himori pulls away and wipes her tears "Well I promise from now on I will change" Oikawa smiles "Okay"

Later that day

Oikawa is in his room drawing on his tablet when his mom rushes into the room and closes the door quietly. "Hey, mom what are y-" Himori shushes Tōru then Tōru whispers "what are you doing" she steps back from the door "Hiding from your father" Oikawa furrows his eyebrows "uh why" Himori rubs her nape "I may have eaten the last cookie" Tōru raises one eyebrow "You mean the one he told everyone in the house that it is his...three times, that cookie?" Himori nods. Oikawa snorts "It was nice knowing you" Himori looks at Oikawa "I-" Kai comes into the room "Himori did you eat my cookie" Himori smiles nervously "nooooo" Kai smiles "oh that's it" Kai tickles his wife and she starts giggling then says "Tōru help me" Oikawa stands up and jabs Kai in the side. he lets go of Himori and grabs his side "Ow, that hurt you little shit" Oikawa shrugs "Mom asked me to help" Kai smirks "well you know what happens when you pick her side over mine" Oikawa shakes his head and Kai responds with"this" Kai puts his arm around Tōru and gives him a nuggie. "Ok ok I'm sorry" Kai lets go and smiles "that's what I thought, also you have to bake some more cookies" Oikawa sighs "why me though I didn't eat your cookie" Kai nods "Yeah well you chose your mom's side over mine and your mom is terrible at baking" Himori Playfully hits Kai's shoulder "Hey, I'm not that bad" Kai and Oikawa both say "Ehhhhh" Himori pouts.

The family has fun and jokes around for the rest of the night.
