Standing in the hospital waiting room was one of the most agonising feelings. Unsure as to whether his Dad would be safe. Would wake up.
"You're Dad we have gotten him stable. We identified that there was a drug injected into his system, it was intended to slow his heart down and mimicked death but we have an expert on the case who picked up on it" the nurse told the 10 year old boy.
"Can I see him now?" Jimin asked hopefully.
"You can, however currently we have him in a medically induced coma. He needs it to recover from the injuries both he and his protector have sustained" The nurse told the anxious child.
Jimin nodded, a sense of relief filling him. His Dad was ok for now. But it still hurt when he entered the room, the strongest man Jimin knew reduced to a weakened state on a hospital bed. His hands didn't seem as secure as they used to, but he was still his Dad. His respect for him never waning.
"What about Rin?" Jimin asked.
"The lion shifter? We are calling in a large feline specialist for him. It's not common that we have to deal with patients with large predator Protectors. But he will be here within an hour, so we will have to sit tight and wait for him to arrive" the nurse told him.
Jimin nodded, he clutched his Dad's hand.
"Talking to coma patients can be helpful to them. So feel free to talk as much as you want" the nurse told him, a kind smile on her face.
"Dad, if you can hear me. I love you lots and lots" Jimin begins then he can't stop. Reciting everything that he had done that day, the school work the playing hopscotch in the school yard. Everything.
He subconsciously reaches out to touch the raise half formed bond mark on his left wrist.
"Wish you were here Kookie" he mutters under his breath.

Jungkook's head snaps up. He could hear Jimin's voice. It was universally known that if one touches their bond mark and says the name of the shared partner. Then the other can almost see a path to them. It only occurred in bonds that were deep and pure.
Jungkook blinked as a trail was created before him, laid out like a map to his human. To his Jimin.
He took off running, bare feet hitting the tarmac following the clear trail. It led him to the hospital. Not that he knew what that was. It just had a big cross sign on the front so he walked up to the entrance.
