Author POVMeals were interesting to say the least. With the shifters being raised in the camps they had never experienced being in human form and eating like humans do. Knives and forks were completely unknown to them.
They had grabbed at the food offered. Jaymin had just cooked a chicken and distributed the meat amongst them. He had piled some vegetables onto Jimin's plate, he didn't even trying to do it with Jungkook at this point. The wolf shifter had expressed such distaste and hatred towards the healthy food that Jaymin had finally given up trying to feed him them.
Jaymin had also noticed that the shifters tried to discreetly take food from the table. They were hiding it around the house, afraid that each meal would be their last. Jaymin had only noticed when Rin picked up on the scent of food that had gone off. It would seem they had somehow pulled the floorboards up and hidden the food beneath.
There was an unfathomable amount of colourful circles cereal (as Taehyung had dubbed them) hidden around the house, courtesy of Taehyung. And there were gummy polar bears everywhere, Namjoon still on a mission to try and free them all.
Currently Jaymin was trying to homeschool children all at a different learning level. Jimin was by far the most advanced, he often tried to help the shifters learn, they were more receptive to his teachings.
Today he was teaching them colours and shapes. Jimin was helping, since it was the weekend and Jaymin didn't teach him then.
"Orange!" Taehyung exclaimed with delight at the colour.
"Yeah, well done Taehyung" Taehyung lit up like Christmas lights at the praise.
"Anyone know this colour or shape?" Jaymin held up a blue square to the group of children sitting cross legged on the living room carpet.
"Blue" Jin told him.
"Square" Namjoon stated after the eldest.
Jaymin was honestly very impressed at how fast Namjoon was learning. He seemed to pick up on information and lessons easily. Always one of the first to respond.
"Bored" Jungkook suddenly declared. He had already learnt his colours and shapes so he got up. Trying to drag Jimin with him.
"Why don't you practice writing your letters?" Jaymin suggested.
But once he said that all of the shifters wanted to do that. They all seemed to want to compete with eachother. Wanting to one up eachother in everything, their devoted attention given to Jimin soon after their accomplishment.
So Jaymin sat them down and taught them the alphabet. The shifters held the pencils in ways Jaymin didn't know was physically possible. All eager to learn.
"Are you going to try Yoongi?" Jaymin asked. The panther shifter hadn't moved from his seat on the floor. The rest of them had taken their seats at the dinner table.
Yoongi shook his head. Jaymin left him to his thoughts, he understood the shifters needed space. Jimin didn't, he got up from the table and walked over to the shifter who had curled in on himself. He took a seat beside him, close so that their thighs and shoulders were pressed together.
Yoongi hesitantly moved his head till it was resting on Jimin's shoulder.
"Do you want to go upstairs and take a nap?" Jimin asked. Turning his head so that he could look Yoongi in the eyes. Yoongi nodded, and allowed Jimin to pull him to his feet.
Yoongi was silent both verbally and physically as they ascended the stairs to their shared room. It had become less and less Jimin and Jungkook's room. It belonged to them all now, it was difficult to figure out what belonged to each of them, it was all thrown in together.
Jimin climbed onto the bed, pulling Yoongi to do the same. The panther shifter stopped before the bed, releasing Jimin's hand he dropped down. Before his hands hit the floor he shifter and landed upon furry black paws. The panther climbed onto the bed with grace and tucked his feet under him as he got comfortable next to his human.
Jimin lay on his back, Yoongi pressed against his side, large head resting on his shoulder, he had thrown his tail over Jimin's waist and curled it around Jimin's opposite thigh. He stretched out a paw that had previously been tucked under his body and rested it against Jimin's chest.
"Comfy?" Jimin asked. Yoongi let out a huffed breath that Jimin interpreted as a 'yes' since he had made no effort to move.
"You're safe here you know" Jimin told the panther.
Yoongi slowly blinked, his yellow eyes trained upon Jimin's face. He licked at his chin slightly as if to say 'I know'.
"Dad and Rin will protect you. I will try to as well. I am sure the others will protect you as well. Cause we are a pack in a way" Jimin was aware he was rambling.
Yoongi moved the paw that was resting on Jimin's chest, placing it over his mouth so that he would stop talking.
"Ok message received. I will shut up" Jimin responded sarcastically.
Jimin swears he saw Yoongi roll his eyes, but he couldn't be entirely sure. Could a panther roll their eyes?
"You're safe" this time Yoongi didn't stop his words. Instead he pressed his face into the crook of Jimin's neck and relaxed.
Jimin was vaguely aware when the others appeared about half an hour later. The bed dipped as all of the shifters climbed up, Jimin had gotten rid of his single bed and Jaymin had bought him a double bed. The shifters preferred to curl up beside their human every night so it made sense.
Some shifters chose to shift into their animal forms, some like Namjoon stayed within their human forms. But he was aware of Yoongi shifting closer to him if that was even possible. He turned and buried his face into Yoongi's fur. It was soft to the touch, he felt another shifter press to his other side. Taehyung by the brief look at the orange and black striped fur.
He allowed himself to doze off again surrounded by his family.

Hi. So another chapter done.
I hope you liked it.
I was wondering if there was anything you wanted to see the shifters learn. Or if you have any preference for who you want to see Jimin interact with.
