"Aaahh!" Eliza exclaimed as a loud crash echoed through the silent building.

"Eliza! Are you okay?" Loki asked, trying to see in the dark building. Their group had split up, Ally, Tony, Peter, Nat and Steve were in on half of the huge building and Bruce, Clint, Thor, Loki and Eliza were in another half. The god weaved his way through the room, toward where the sound came from. "Eliza!" he shouted, trying to locate the woman.

"There's something in here!" replied the woman, her voice came from the room directly in front of him.

The trickster god ran into the room and scanned the dimly lit room. Something whizzed past his head, making the god jump back.

"SIKE!" Eliza shouted, pointing to a camera on the table to the right of him.

Eliza immediately saw that the god's face was serious, and stopped laughing. She walked slowly to the camera and turned it of, moving then to stand in front of the worried man. "I was only joking. I'm fine." she assured him. His brows knitted together and he glared.

"What did you do that for?" he hissed, looking away.

"I'm sorry, I didn't think you'd actually take it seriously." Eliza responded, trying to meet his green eyes.

"It's dangerous in here. You can't do that and expect me not to take it seriously." he said quietly, and finally looked at her. The woman wrapped her arms around the trickster god and held him tightly.

"I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to upset you." she told him. The man she was embracing didnt move or say a word, he just stood, arms dangling at his side. Eliza moved her head back and looked into the god's green eyes. "You okay?" she asked. No response. Eliza stepped back, arms still around his waist and tilted her head to the side. "Loki?" she said his name and he flinched, blinking a few times before he met her eyes.

"what?" his voice was soft and distant.

"I'm sorry. That was mean and I shouldn't have done it." his brows knitted together again and he shook his head.

"Its alright. You just scared me, that's all."

A thud sounded from one end of the room, followed by a scuffle of something. Eliza and Loki's heads both whipped towards the noise. There was only one Avenger who would be spying on the two.

"Oh, Clint, what's up? Find anything?" Eliza asked. There was nothing but silence. "Clint?" she repeated, scanning the area with her flashlight. "You good?" She was concerned that, in his haste, Clint had hurt himself trying to escape undetected.

"Eliza, theres no one there." The trickster god's voice was low.

"Hey, I said I was sorry, do you have to get revenge every time I prank you?" The woman asked, annoyed. She picked up her camera and strapped it on her forehead, setting it to record. She looked up at Loki and spoke. "Master prankster Loki here, what's the tea today?" Eliza asked in a reporter voice.

"Eliza, I'm not tricking you." Loki assured, eyes not moving from the area where the noise came from. "I promise." he added, hands on her shoulders.

A quiet thunk, like a paperback book being dropped, echoed through the room. Eliza turned her body away from the god in front of her and scanned the room.

"Who's there? You've been busted." Eliza announced, walking toward the noise. There was a small closet with a beaten down and decrepit door, barely hanging on its frame. Eliza put her hands on the rusty gold knob and paused. "Ally, I swear to god if you're making out with Tony in this closet I'm going to hit you both."

The woman slowly turned the knob and pulled open what remained of the door. She jumped back and shouted when something jumped out and smacked on her face. Eliza tripped on a toppled over chair and fell backwards, landing with a loud thud.

"Fucking shit!!!" Eliza screeched, heart racing at record speed. "The hell was that!?!?" The god of mischief had already ran over to her, and was helping her stand.

A triumphant coo met the two's ears and noises of wings flapping furiously echoed around. Eliza aimed her flashlight at the source of the flapping.

"A fucking PIGEON!?!?!?" she screeched, hands and legs shaking. "Are you joking!??!"

"Odin's beard that was amazing!" Loki laughed, looking to the woman with amusement in his eyes.

"LOKI!!!" scolded Eliza, face burning with fury. He threw both hands in the air and took a step back.

"Hey, that was not my doing." he insisted. It was clear Eliza wasn't buying it. "I'm serious, Eliza, I would never do that to you." Loki added, putting his hands on either side of her shoulders.

Eliza huffed and let her head fall on the dark haired man's chest. She took her fist and gently tapped it on his chest in scolding.

"Please tell me you were rolling." she said, lifting her head off him. Loki cocked his head, confused by her request. Eliza pointed to the camera strapped to his head. He looked up, grabbed his camera and flipped the screen toward her. Her face lit up when she saw a small red dot in the corner of the screen. "Yes!! I cant wait to see that through Loki-vision!" exclaimed Eliza, smiling.

Loki walked to the closet and looked in, humming when he saw an explanation for the bird's appearance. When Eliza joined him, she saw there was a hole in the cracked brick wall, leading to the outside of the building.

"Poor creature flew in and couldn't manage to find it's way out." Loki concluded, turning back around to face Eliza, who smiled. "Let's go find the others, I'm sure they'll love to hear about your winged freind."

Once they were in the less dark, but still dim hallway, the raven haired god spotted something immediately.

"Your arm." he said, pointing to Eliza's forearm, which was streaked red with blood. She looked down and jumped at the sight.

"Oh, blood, blood! Sue the management!" (props if you get that reference) she said, looking at her arm.

Loki took her arm and held it as if it were made if glass. He pulled his black hoodie sleeve down over his palm and swiped away the crimson line, revealing a nasty gash going up the side of her arm and stopping just before her elbow.

"Hey, you didn't have to get your sweatshirt bloody." Eliza protested.

"Hey, guys! Where are the others?" a young voice asked. Peter was waving, walking down the hall. "Oh, crap, Eliza what happened?" he asked, noticing the cut on the woman's arm.

"One word: Pigeon." Eliza answered. "A pigeon yeeted itself in my face and I fell." she elaborated.
