Ben

We pulled to the side of the road and walked towards the treehouse. Kat stood in front of it for a while, just staring. I'm guessing she was trying to remember which was the way she took to her house.

Kat started walking and I followed her. She walked around the treehouse and stopped at a break in the trees. There was a tiny path on the ground snaking around some trees and ending at an opening in the tress. We followed along the path and it reached a huge plot that had a small shed, a broken-down barn and a burnt to a crisp.

"Kat, do you remember this place."

She nodded her head and walked towards the barn. I followed her as she looked around for something. Behind some barrels of rotten hay, she bent down and started patting the ground. I noticed that the ground wasn't perfectly flat and there was a small hump in the ground.

"After my father killed Elijah, I buried his body here. No one knew that he was here. If they did know, I would have been killed and his body would have been dug up and tossed in the fire to burn."

Kat told me all about Elijah and how her father killed him. She was crying again and I felt so bad for her. She has dealt with so much in her life, her father abused her, someone she was close to died and she had died herself, but she doesn't know-how. There is so much I want to take back so she can feel better.

"I remember what happened. It was the day when..." Kat started telling me all how that day when she died. The whole time she was crying and struggling to speak because of how she was gasping to breathe. I stayed silent, but still comforting her.

I am so sorry that this was a short chapter. I guess it's a filler for the next chapter. Because that one is really important to the plot and will be a big one. I feel so bad for making this one so short, but I hope you get excited for the next one. By the way, there are 3 more chapters after this one, so the book is coming to an end, but don't worry I've got another one on the way.
