Two weeks.
Two weeks since Draco Malfoy looked at her for the last time, it has been two weeks.
During this time she didn't stay in bed she didn't cry or yell or let any sort of emotions take her down. She searched every inch of the Manor, went through his case around 20 times making sure she hadn't missed a thing. When the two guardians took him away, she promised to herself that she would see him again, that this couldn't, wouldn't be the end.
But as the days went by and her non stop investigation was leading to nothing, she started to lose hope. Harry helped her as much as he could, Ron chose to stay out of it and Hermione respected his desicion even though she was kind of mad at him for doing her like that.
In the end of the day, he was one of her best friends, her first love, and she needed him, but that was okay.
14 days without seeing him. She thought to herself as her and Harry were sitting on the kitchen table, both desperate, both waiting for some kind of miracle to show them the right way.
"I think..." Harry spoke after about 10 minutes in complete silence.
"Don't." Hermiome cut him. "Don't even think about it."
The boy sighed, "There is nothing Hermione, we did literally everything we could, we knew the chances were low."
She shook her head, "Harry we can't. We just can't. I promised." She said with pain in her voice and eyes.
He looked at her. "I know...and you kept your promise, you did everything you could, everything, believe me he knew that he wouldn't get out of this, he just didn't want you to accept it."
"It's unfair Harry." She paused. "It's not his fault, he doesn't deserve this and you know it."
"I know, I was the first to say it. But sometimes life is unfair, sometimes we don't have any power over certain things, they just happen and we never understand why, that's just how it is."
"So you are telling me..." She wiped away a fresh tear and locked eyes with him. "You are telling that I am supposed to go down there and watch the person that I love, the person that I am in love with and that I want to share my life with, taken away from me, this is not just unfair Harry, this is so much worse than that."
He stayed quiet for a second, never leaving her gaze.
"I think," He started, "that you should visit him, you should have been visiting him these past few weeks, he needs you now more than ever."
"Yeah I know, but I was trying to shave him, I was doing it for him."
"I know but..." He cleared his voice." Now you have to realise that you are running out of time and you will regret it if you spend these last days trying to shave him when you deeply know that you can't. Spend your time with him, before it's too late."

Two guardians leaded him to the other side of the dark, creepy bulding. It was the first time in two weeks that he was out of his cage. Prison was pretty much what he had expected. Death. It was like he was already dead, he perhaps wished he was actually dead at this point.
But then the guardians allowed him into a lighter and cleaner room and he saw the reason that he was still alive, he saw her, standing on the other side of the room with her arms crossed and her eyes following him as he entered the room.
The guardians closed the door behind him and left the two alone. As soon as Hermione heard the door closing she ran to him and threw her arms around him, burring her face into his chest.
