The next morning Draco found his violin and notebook just outside his door.

Looked like Granger didn't want to disturb him again.

He took them inside his room and locked the door behind him.

Then, he soflty placed them on his bed, too nervous to put presure on them, like they were made of fragile glass.

He took a step back to look at them and let out a breath he hadn't realised he was holding.

He closed his eyes for a moment trying to relax himself and failing, of course.

Draco Malfoy was never relaxed after all.

With trembling fingers he slowly opened the black case, feeling the cold sweat already all over his face and throat.

He had forgotten how shiny its strings were, even after all these years they remained the same, magic.

He touched the soft wood of the violin with his fingers, analyzing all over again every corner and every side of it.

And then his eyes went to his violin bow, made of golden horse's hair that looked like clear gold.

He took it in his hands as careful as he could.

He hold it for some minutes, memories playing in his head.

As careful as before, maybe even more, he put it back in the case.

His eyes caught the dark red notebook standing there, screaming him to open it.

He wasn't ready, not yet.

He took it in his hands, its colour had faded over the years but was still beuatiful.

And just for a second he considered opening it, but just for a second.

He opened the drawer in his bed table and locked it in there, just like he had done in the Manor.

When the little object was out of sight, he felt fresh air running through his lungs again, he swear he hadn't been breathing this whole time.

He closed the violin case and put it at the darkest corner of the little room, same thing he had done in the Manor as well.

The notebook locked away unable to scare him, and the violin in the darkest corner, away from the light.

In this way he could only see it when he wanted to, otherwise he could just ignore it, saying that it was part of the shadow by the black corner, it wasn't there, it never had been.

Behind the third door of the first floor was an office.Dark and creepy like the rest of the Manor.

It was huge and almost empty, there was only a big desk in the middle, a chair and some paintings on the walls.

They were paintings and photos of the Malfoy family, Hermione noticed.

She even spotted Belatrix in one of them and shattered as she saw the witche's eyes moving on her direction. For a moment she forgot that it was just a photo, she forgot that she was long dead and couldn't hurt her again.

She moved to the desk, it was tidy, everything in perfect order.Opening the drawers she found letters amd documents, thousands of them.

There was even Draco's very first letter from Hogwarts, the one they had all gotten at the start of their first year.

She smiled as she remembered her excitement when she got hers, when she found out that she was a witch, it was the best day of her life.
