The song was over and all there was now in the small room was silence. Draco opened his eyes only to find Hermione, standing infront of him with her glossy cheeks and shiny eyes. She was leaning back against the door, her eyes locked with his.

He lowered his hands still holding his violin.

"Wha-what are you doing here?" He asked, confused.

"I-" She cleared her voice trying to think of something to say but no excuses came to her mind. "I wanted to see you, I guess." She said.

He stayed quiet amd after some seconds of holding her gaze he finally turned around and walked to the bed, placing his violin into its case and closing it.

He put it back in the dark corner, and then the little notebook, back in the drawer, he didn't lock it this time.

Hermione was observing him, his elegant moves, his hands moving, his eyes, oh god his eyes.

When he was finally done he sat on his bed and met her gaze again. She hadn't moved, not one inch, she was still there, still looking at him.

He turned his eyes to look outside the window, finding it difficult to speak while looking at her.

"I suppose Potter-"

"Yes." She cut him. "He told us everything."

He nodded, his eyes lost between the sky.

She slowly left the side of the door and walked towards him, not too sure what she would do.

She sat beside him on the bed and he turned to her again. Their shoulders were touching and their heads so close they could feel each other's breath.

"Talk to me." She whispered in the softest voice possible.

"What can I possibly say?" He asked with a tone of desperation.

"Anything." She said in pain. "Literally Draco anything you want to say."

He chuckled sadly, "I don't think there is anything I want to say."

"But-"

"I just want to know one thing." He cut her, his tone a bit serious now.

She nodded.

He let out a sigh and looked into her warm brown eyes, "Do you hate me?"

A small piece of her heart cracked in that moment, as his blue eyes started tearing up.

She shook her head, "No." She gave him a sad smile, "I could never hate you."

And that was it. As these words came out of her mouth he realised it was everything he wanted to hear. He felt like he hadn't been breathing this whole time and now there was air in his lungs again. She didn't hate him. And that was all that mattered, that was all that would ever matter.

"Thank you." He murmured with a cracked smile playing on his lips and some hot tears running down his cheeks.

In a hearbeat she had collapsed into his arms and for the first time she wanted nothing else.

"Please don't leave, not yet." She cried as she burried her head into his chest.

He kissed the top of her head while softly rubbing her back, "I am not going anywhere." He assured her, not too sure why because he knew that he would leave and probably really soon.

"You are lying." She said under tears.

Of course he was.

"Probably." He whispered. "I wish I wasn't though."
