He never realised when he had fallen asleep last night but when he finally woke up the left side of the bed was empty and cold.

She had left leaving him all alone in the dark room.He recalled the last night in his mind with terror.

His words, his actions, his thoughts.He was out of his bloody mind.But he didn't feel quite that way, he was confused and perhaps lost but not out of his mind.He would have kissed her if she had let him and he was so, so glad that she had just turned around.

Things were already more than complicated, a kiss would have been an actual disaster, maybe a beuatiful one but still, a disaster.

Beuatiful one? What was wrong with him?Hermione fucking Granger was messing with his head and he hated this.Not her, the situation, he could never hate her-
But...he used to hate her?Didn't he?Yeah he was quite sure that he used to hate the girl, a lot.He didn't anymore, that was the one thing he was sure of, Draco Malfoy didn't hate Hermione Granger, not even close to hate.

A knock got him out of his thoughts and he quickly turned to face the door, realising then that he was walking around the room for over ten minutes now.

"Yes?" He asked.

"Breakfast is ready." Said a familiar female voice while the door remained closed.

Of course she wouldn't come in. He smirked to himself.

~~~~
"Is he coming?" Harry asked as Hermione entered the kitchen again.
"I suppose."
Footsteps followed right after and the blond entered the small room finding the other two already sitting on the table.
He glanced at Hermione, their eyes met for just a second and then he broke eye contact to look at the other wizard sitting on the table.
"Good morning." Said the Slytherin with a sleepy voice.
"Good morning." Harry greeted, "There are pancakes in the oven, help yourself."
He nodded and moved to the cupboard, reaching for some of the food.
If he had turned around he would have seen the witch glancing at his figure more than once, an action that didn't go unnoticed by her other companion.
When he was done he took his plate and moved to the table, avoiding of course to sit next to her.
They ate in complete silence, totally ignoring each other's presence.Only once, when they both raised their heads their eyes met and they stayed like this for a second or two before they lowered their heads again and acted like nothing had happened.
Harry was looking at them with confusion, noticing the nervousness and awkardness between them that he was sure it wasn't there before.
He wanted to ask but he decided against it as they both looked quite stressed and not talkable at that time.
He made a mental note to ask Hermione later if he had the chance.
"So the dance is tomorrow night." He started in a try to break the silence.
Draco raised his head to gaze at him, "What dance?" He frowned.
"Well not a dance but more like a Christmas party, Ginny is coming for the holidays and we decided to throw a party."
"Ginny?"
Harry nodded, "Ginny Weasley, you sure remember her."
He chuckled, "Yeah I do."
"Alright then, party starts at eight, wear something formal."
