Aria Westwood was moving from Texas out to her aunt's house in Charming, California. Her aunt Linda had promised the weather was good and that she'd love the town. Aria wasn't so sure about the move but her only living relative needed someone to look after her since she was battling cancer. Her own son, Aria's cousin Jared, didn't call, didn't come around, didn't help his mother at all. Linda finally called up her niece to come move in with her to help her out. Aria had finally agreed knowing her aunt needed the help and didn't want to be an asshole like her cousin.
The move wasn't long and before she knew it, she'd arrived in Charming. She followed her GPS to her aunt's large, beautiful home in a nice neighborhood. She parked her moving van in front of the house that was supposed to be her aunt's and climbed out. Her aunt met her at the door and quickly embraced her niece happy to see her after not getting the chance to visit with her for a while and happy to finally have the help she needed. Her aunt understood she was a streamer and that for certain hours during the day she wouldn't be available. They had decided to sit down and create a schedule of when things like laundry and such would get done around the house to appease both women.
Linda called some neighbors to help Aria move her furniture from the moving van into her empty bedroom. It didn't go as long as she thought it was since they had help. Aria asked the men to help her get her desk and chair down into the basement where her aunt had cleaned it out for her to use as her space for streaming. It was cool and quiet down there just what Aria needed. All the other boxes Aria told her aunt she could move herself. Linda shook her head and said no. Her neighbors helped her get all her boxes into the right rooms for her earning a wide smile in return. She promised her aunt she'd be right back as she went to drop off the moving van.
She unhooked her 2018 metallic blue Ford Escape from the car hauler before checking the van for anything she might have left behind. Satisfied she hadn't, she turned in the keys and climbed into her car. She had to GPS her way back to her aunt's house. The rest of the afternoon was spent in getting her "office" set up the way she'd had it back home including the green screen set behind her. She had special lights, a very good microphone, five separate monitors, and all other manner of streaming equipment she had to set up. Her aunt opened the door and called out that dinner was there making her look at her phone to see she'd been working setting everything up for nearly four hours!
They ate pizza that night since Aria was still setting everything up and she'd finished her trek from Dallas to California that day. After dinner, both women were more than ready to head off to bed. Aria figured she could finish with her set up the following day. Besides, she'd already warned her followers that she probably wouldn't be on for at least a week because of the move then setting up. Linda bid her a goodnight as she stepped into the master suite making her smile and say goodnight as well before retreating into her new bedroom. She still needed to make the bed before she could go to sleep!
Once the bed had been made, she dug through her suitcases to find her pj's. She quickly changed and crawled into bed. It had been a long day. The next morning, she woke up, headed into the kitchen, and found her aunt sitting at the kitchen table sipping on coffee and reading the paper. She asked Aria to make them some breakfast so the younger woman opted for scrambled eggs and bacon with toast. Linda smiled at her niece and once again thanked her for moving in to help her out. Aria simply replied they were family and that's what families should do for one another.
"You're a good girl, Aria. Your parents would be so proud of you." Linda stated.
"Even though I don't "have a real job" as Jared calls it." Aria rolled her eyes as whisked the eggs.
"Oh don't listen to him! He bounces from job to job like he changes his underware. At least you're making money to support yourself and you love what you're doing. It's more than obvious he's not happy in his life." Linda exclaimed.
"That's true. Besides, it should be him here helping you. You're his mother!" Aria's voice raised slightly.
"Don't let that get to you. I never expected him to want to help me like this. He's always been a selfish, self-serving boy." Linda shook her head, "Got it from his father, I think."
The conversation ended as Aria made them breakfast. After they'd eaten, Aria went to get a shower since she hadn't had one since the day before and felt gross. Linda made her way into the living room to get settled in her recliner. After her much needed shower, Aria dug around in her bags for something to wear. She opted for a pair or ripped jeans, a razorback tank with a wolf howling at the moon on the front, and some black and white Adidas. She pulled her long, multi-colored hair into a high ponytail and opted to go without make-up.
Linda had her run some errands for her before she could get back to setting up down in the basement. Aria had to GPS her way through town. There were several places she needed to go so she found a parking space between them and parked her SUV. As she walked around her SUV, she noted several motorcycles near where she parked. There were a couple guys standing outside and one caught her interest. He had long, blond hair, wore a beanie, had a beard, was extremely tall, very muscular, and covered in tattoos. 'Holy fuck is he hot!' she thought as she stared at him for a moment. When he turned her way, she looked away and headed into the store she had come to visit.
Rane Quinn was tired of all the random women he'd been with and had been looking for the right woman to settle down with. Someone not associated with the club. Someone he could share everything with. Someone unique. As he was out on club business with Chibs, Jax, and Happy, she appeared out of thin air. A metallic blue Ford Escape parked and the driver climbed out and walked around. She stopped and stared at them after noticing the line of bikes outside the store. It was obvious she couldn't see his eyes as he looked over her tiny but well-built frame due to his sunglasses.
She was petite, 5'3 tops, curvy in all the right places, he could see two tattoos on her arms and it looked like there was one creeping up from her left shoulder, her long black and pink hair was pulled into a ponytail. It looked very soft from his distance and he suddenly wanted to run his fingers through it. As quickly as she had appeared, she turned and walked into the store. He was trying to figure out a way to talk to her, to get her number so he could see her again. Jax was talking about something important and he was trying to stay focused but he kept glancing to the door of the store to see when she'd come out. When she did finally, she had two packages with her and put them in the back of her SUV. He was about to just walk over when she walked down the sidewalk to another store.
By then, Jax said they should roll out making him huff. He still hadn't gotten the unique beauty's name. He was in a foul mood the rest of the day although no one could figure out why. Happy thought his brother just needed to get some booze in him and find a nice crow eater. Quinn waved him off as he found a seat and waved the prospectover for a shot of Tequila and a beer. Jax was chatting with Bobby about the business they'd been out to handle that morning while Chibs started a game of pool with Ratboy. Quinn didn't know how to go about finding that woman again. If he'd gotten her name, he could at least have Juice find out all he could about her.
A/N: Poor Quinn!
