"Rane? What happened?" She finally asked.
"We were attacked. The group that put us on lockdown broke through our gate and began shooting at the clubhouse. We went out to fire back and eventually they left. We're safe now." He told her as he began rubbing her back.
"Oh."
"Yeah. Jax is pretty pissed about it. Especially having women and children here." Quinn sighed, "I'm sure things are about to get really bloody."
"What do you mean?" She inquired.
"We're going to retaliate against them. And it's going to end in their deaths." He explained.
"Oh." She stated as he looked down at her, "I see."
"We don't take too kindly to being attacked or threatened. We protect our own no matter the cost." He stated.
"I just don't want you getting hurt or worse." She said.
"I know, Lil Bit. But this is the life I live." He replied making her sigh.
They slipped back into silence each lost in their own thoughts. Him thinking about the retaliation that was coming to L.O.A.N. and her thinking about him being in danger as he did whatever it was the club needed him to do. She finally began to drift back to sleep bringing a smile to his face. He kissed her forehead before resting his head against hers and closing his eyes as well. He'd need to be well-rested for whatever they were going to be doing the following day. He'd need to have his wits about him to make sure he didn't get hurt while he was out.
Pounding at the door later that morning roused both from their sleep. The prospect shouted that church was being called in five minutes. Quinn leaned over and kissed her forehead before climbing out of bed to get dressed. She sighed heavily before sliding out of bed to take herself a quick shower. Not knowing when she'd get to see him again, she figured she'd hang out in the clubhouse and chat with her new friend Tara. He had already left the room by the time she was done with her shower and had dressed. When she made her way into the kitchen for some coffee, she found a short-ish blond woman pouring herself a cup of coffee.
"Hi, I'm Lyla. Opie's 'ol lady." The blond introduced herself, "Who are you?"
"Hi. I'm Wolfie. A...friend...of Quinn's." Aria replied as she poured herself a cup of coffee.
"It's nice to meet you. Is this your first lockdown? I haven't seen you around here before." Lyla asked.
"Yeah." Aria replied.
"It can be scary since they only do this when there's an immediate danger to them, their families, and very close friends." Lyla nodded, "So, you and Quinn are an item?"
Aria was a little taken aback by this woman's boldness. She didn't want to lie either.
"Yeah. He calls me his woman." Aria chuckled, "He demanded I come so I'd be safe although I have a security system in place at my house and I keep my doors all locked."
"He cares about you and wants to keep you safe which is by staying here until they deal with the threat." Lyla stated as Tara entered the kitchen.
The two women greeted the doctor who greeted them back as she made her coffee. Gemma soon made her presence known and said she'd need help making breakfast for everyone. Tara and Aria agreed to help to make things go quicker. Gemma opted for pancakes since they were filling, sausages, and biscuits. Aria was tasked with mixing the pancake batter, Tara was tasked with looking over the sausages as they cooked, and Gemma got two cookie sheets ready for the biscuits. Others began waking up for the day and the adults wanted coffee. Before long, Aria had to make another pot as she tended to the pancakes. The boys were still in church discussing how to go about solving their problem.
