Tig noticed Happy's sudden mood change and wondered if it had anything to do with Quinn being out on a date with the unique beauty. Quinn didn't normally ask for personal time off but he had asked for the day and since there were no club business or issues going on at the moment, Jax had happily given it to the long-haired biker. She certainly looked young but that didn't necessarily mean anything these days. Some of the girls at Cara Cara looked young but were in their late twenties to early thirties! Aria thanked the waitress when she brought their dinner. He looked over her choices and nodded approvingly.
He tried to ignore the stares of Happy as he ate and chatted with Aria who seemed oblivious to the looks they were getting from his brother. Quinn wasn't sure what it was that Happy seemed to have a problem with. Maybe he thought she was younger than she really was. Dinner had gone well, despite the looks from his brother, and he was pulling money out to pay for their meal but she whipped her wallet out and tried to pay. They argued, playfully, but he eventually won making her huff and stick her tongue out at him. He swatted her butt on their way through the diner and out to his bike making her squeal, turn around, and glare at him. He just laughed and kept walking.
Linda made the pair some grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch after he entered the home and they'd greeted one another. She offered him something to drink which he happily took. He could tell she wasn't feeling well and tried to do as much as he could so she didn't have to do it. He got out plates for them to use and had them by the stove so she didn't have to walk far to make their plates. They ate in the living room so they'd be comfortable and could watch TV while they ate and chatted. The pair spent the whole day watching TV and just chatting about anything and everything. Over the past few months, he'd become her closest friend.
She loved her niece and was doing all she knew to do to help her niece after her death. Aria didn't have many living relatives left and the one she did have, she couldn't stand. Chibs laughed and said if things went the way he thought they were going to go between her and Quinn, she wouldn't have to worry about having a family because their biker family would take her in. It eased Linda's mind to know that Quinn seemed to be as crazy for her niece as her niece was for him. Chibs promised he'd help look after her no matter what happened between Aria and Quinn.
She'd gotten up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water and heard Aria giggling as she texted someone she presumed to be Quinn. Or Aria calling out the tall biker's name as she slept. She knew Quinn would be the one her niece went to when she finally died. She just hoped he was prepared for helping her niece through the grieving process. Aria had rebelled after her parents died and she hoped she wouldn't do that after her death. Around dinner time, Chibs offered to make her an Americanized version of one of his favorite Scottish dishes Bangers and Mash. The name made Linda laugh and give him the go-ahead.
He needed to head to the local meat market to get the right ingredient for the Bangers and promised to be right back. Linda promised she wouldn't move a muscle while he was gone. The Scotsman rushed to the local meat market to get the right sausages for their dinner hoping she would like what he was going to make them that night. Aria had cooked for him and Quinn twice but this was the first time Chibs had cooked for Linda. Having the ingredient he'd come for, he raced back to Linda and Aria's house and quickly parked. He walked straight into her home and found her still sitting in her chair where she had been before he left. He told her he was going to get on making them dinner before heading into the kitchen.
Linda wanted to continue their previous conversation so she cautiously got up and moved to the kitchen table so they could chat. He scolded her for getting up without help but she waved him off with a laugh. "I'm not dead yet, Scotsman!" she told him making him burst out laughing too. She had him explain to her what he was making and how he made things while he was working. He happily chatted with her about food from his country since he didn't get to have it ever. She wanted to help but he swatted her away and said he had everything under control. She sighed and raised her hands up making him smile at her as he went back to discussing food from his home country.
He added plenty of butter and milk to the potatoes to make them nice and fluffy before he scooped some onto each plate after he finished mashing them. The sausages were almost done so he decided to chop some green onions to sprinkle on top of the potatoes. She was about to get up to refill their glasses but he assured her he could get it and for her to just relax. She shook her head at the man but did as he requested. Once the sausages were done to his satisfaction, he placed two on each plate then walked them to the dining table. She looked over the meal he'd prepared for them with a smile. He refilled their glasses before setting down at the table with her.
They continued chatting all through dinner, with her being sure to tell him how good a cook he really was. He urged her to eat more than she had wanted to until she'd eaten at least half her plate. "I really can't eat anymore, Filip! I'm stuffed and I'll get sick if I try to eat anything else!" Linda told her friend before he stopped. She sat with him while he finished his dinner. Once he was done, he moved her back into the living room to get settled in her chair before cleaning up from dinner. He knew Wolfie liked to keep a clean household for her aunt's sake. Having everything cleaned up, he made his way back to the living room to take up his space on the couch near her chair. The pair chatted until she began to get sleepy.
Not wanting to leave her alone, Chibs suggested he stay the night since he wasn't sure when Quinn was bringing Wolfie back. Linda told him where the extra blankets and pillows were and told him to make himself at home as he helped her upstairs to her room. Once she was in her room, she promised she'd be fine and bid him a good night. He told her if she needed anything, he'd be on her couch making her smile at him and tell him "Thanks" before shutting her bedroom door. Chibs wondered what Quinn had planned for Wolfie for the two of them to be out so late. It was around eleven pm already and there was no word about the pair coming back yet.
Seeing how late it had gotten made Quinn realize he needed to take Aria home. Chibs was there but was sure his brother was ready to head back to the clubhouse. They climbed back on his bike and headed back to Charming. She knew she'd never forget the day and was glad she'd gotten a selfie with Quinn when they stopped at the scenic spot after dinner. She planned on printing it off and framing it the first chance she got. When they arrived home, she noted Chibs' bike was still in the driveway making her thankful he'd stuck around instead of leaving her aunt all alone. He was sleeping soundly on the couch when the pair entered the living room. She chuckled as Quinn shook his head. She grabbed the taller man's hand and led him upstairs to her room.
"It's too late for you to be driving around. I'd feel better if you just crashed here tonight." Aria told him hoping her real reason for wanting him to stay wasn't easily detected.
"If you're sure." He replied.
"I'm sure." She smiled, "I'm gonna go change. Feel free to get as comfortable as you want."
He smiled as she grabbed that cute tank top looking nightgown and left for the bathroom. He sat at the edge of her bed to take his boots off before taking his kutte off and laying it across the dresser. He stripped down to his boxers then slipped into her bed and got comfortable. She entered the room then shut the door. He grabbed the remotes to hand to her as she slipped into the bed as well. She turned everything on and began channel surfing until she found something they both wanted to watch. He had no problems in pulling her straight into his arms this time. Before they weren't as close and feelings weren't known. Now she was his girl even if it hadn't been verbally expressed. She rested her head on his chest and draped her arm over his stomach while he wrapped an arm around her shoulder.
