hey icy gang. 🙄
Lotus walked into the boxing gym, removing her sunglasses from her face. She scanned the building, seeing a few people in different areas of the gym. She kept searching until she finally spotted the familiar face behind the boxing ring, training someone.
She made her way over to the guy, clearing her throat to make her presence known. He paused, shifting his focus from his client to Lotus, his eyes slightly widening in shock. "Lotus?" he looked over her, not believing it was her.
"What's up Pryce?" she greeted him, sending him a small wave.
"Give me one second," he told her, before looking back at another employee of his. "Aye Eugene, you'll take ova' for me real quick?" he asked him, the guy nodded and walked over to them, as Pryce gestured Lotus to follow behind him.
Lotus looked around at her surroundings as they walked throughout the building—which was pretty big itself. She couldn't remember the last time she even stepped foot inside of a gym, given that she rarely worked out. She wasn't lazy, but she never felt the need to go workout as the life she led was enough of a workout for her already.
They walked up the stairs in the front, that led to an office that looked over the whole first floor and half of the second floor. Pryce let Lotus walk in first, before shutting the door behind him. "I didn't know if you went by Austin, so I didn't want to call you that in front of people just in case." Lotus spoke, getting comfortable in the cushioned chair.
Pryce sat down in the black, leather rolling chair behind the desk, wiping his sweaty forehead off with the towel. "Nah you good, folks know me by Austin but you've always known me as both so call me whichever," he assured her.
"Cool, so remember that favor I asked for?" she said, getting straight to point, not wanting to beat around the bush as to why she was really there.
Pryce started grinning, letting go of a small chuckle. "Damn, getting right to it, huh?" he eyed her, leaning back into the chair.
"Yea' I don't have time for allat' catching up shit right now, we can do that later." She waved him off, adjusting her purse in her lap.
"Okay...well what's up?"
"Before I can even go into detail about this shit, I need to know if you did what I asked."
"I did," he nodded his head, picking up the phone and dialing an extension. He waited a few seconds while the ling rang, "Yo, come up to the office real quick." he spoke into the phone, before hanging up.
They sat in silence, waiting for the person that Pryce summoned. As they did, Lotus took the time out to look around the office. It was pretty bland, there weren't any pictures on the desk or anything significant to Pryce. Instead the office was decorated with piles of papers and folders, and of course a few small gym equipment laying around on the floor.
She expected nothing more or less from Pryce, given that he was a well trained hitta'. Even though he didn't have nothing to lose, he couldn't take the risk of his personal life being showcased out in public, especially with all of the hits he had pulled off in the previous years.
He knew that he probably made a couple of enemies that were out for blood in retaliation, so although he didn't have kids, and his mother died from an overdose while his dad sat in prison on murder charges, he couldn't risk the lives of those he did have in his life.
They heard as the door let out a creak as it was opened. Lotus ripped her attention away from the piles of papers and looked to see a woman walk in. She shut the door behind her, before taking a seat besides Lotus in the other chair.
