hey icy gang, what the hell yall ass doing up? 😂Lotus pulled into the parking lot of her grandparent's residence, she called to check on her grandparents after the phone call with, P, yesterday and she immediately needed to rush home.
She shifted the gears in park, and sat back in the seat and stared straight ahead at nothing in particular. She felt no emotion whatsoever, at this point in her life, she'd become numb to the feeling of sadness.
She let go of a sigh and unfastened her seatbelt, opening the door. She got out and shut the door behind her, making sure to lock the door with the key fob. She walked into the entrance of the building, the front desk attendant greeting her.
"I'm here in regards to Ronald and Gemma Fanning," Lotus told the attendant, referring to G'daddy. The attendant shot her a sympathetic look and nodded her head, giving her the 'ok' to go ahead.
Lotus took her time walking to the apartment that her grandparents occupied. As she made the trip up to the third floor, she took the time to look around, noticing the little changes made from the last time she was there. There were a few renovations being made on the first floor of what seemed to be an entertainment room.
She stepped onto the elevator, with another family. She pressed the button to the third floor, and stood quietly to the side. As the elevator ascended, Lotus began to feel the sense of dread in the pit of her stomach—a feeling that she had become all too familiar with but hated with a passion.
The elevator stopped on the third floor, the doors sliding open. Lotus hesitated for a second, her legs feeling jelly beneath her. She forced herself to step out and slowly made her way down the hall.
Lotus approached the wooden door, and raised her fist to knock on it. She heard the faint voices coming from behind the heavy door, one voice in particular growing louder as they drew closer to the door.
She heard the locks being fiddled with, and the door being pulled open, her mother standing on the other side. "Lotus," Charlene breathed a sigh of relief, pulling her into a warm hug.
Lotus stood there, her attention focused on the inside of the apartment. Charlene pulled away, her hands still gently grasping on her arms, as she looked over her. She hadn't seen Lotus in a few months, and after she lost contact with Reese, the only person who was able to give updates on her wellbeing, she became extremely worried.
However, after she received word from her parents that they spoke with Lotus and she was fine, it put her mind at ease—just a little.
Charlene stood to the side, letting Lotus walk into the apartment. Her siblings rushed to her side, wrapping her into a big, group hug. Like with Charlene, her arms remained at her side, still unable to grasp the fact that Gigi was gone.
She had fought a good fight, but her heart had finally gave out on her, passing away peacefully in her sleep. Though Lotus was somewhat relieved that her grandmother passed due to her sickness and hadn't been harmed, the question still remained—how did 'P' know that her grandmother passed away?
Did he have someone watching her grandparents? Was it just a coincidence, and he had only been trying to get into her head?
Many questions, but no answers to go on with. Even though her family had seen it coming and had been preparing for it, she on the other hand, could never prepare herself for a death of a loved one.
In the back of her mind, something was nagging her. Had Gigi been too stressed out because of her situation? She had mentioned that her blood pressure was a little higher than usual and had to take medication for it.
