"Harder," Pryce coached Lotus, as she hit the pads on his hands. After Lotus became a little better with her withdrawals, she started her training with Pryce. During the process of that, Raya was unable to go on her date with Mid, however, they did spend a few hours on FaceTime, getting to know each other a little better, Raya believed that Mid was softening up to her a little—Lotus as well."Come on, harder Lotus," Pryce said, as Lotus began struggling a little, weakening her punches. Pryce sucked his teeth, noticing that something on her mind was hogging her attention—hindering her ability to focus, which was now beginning to annoy him. "Fuckin' focus! I know you can do better than that shit!" he cursed, shoving her a bit.
Lotus clenched her jaw, fixing her stance. She started to punch again, but dropped her arms, letting go of a deep breath. "Focus!" he raised his voice again, Lotus glared at him, before turning around.
Pryce slumped his shoulders, but followed behind her as she tried heading towards the bench where her water bottle was. He shoved her again, "When you become so soft? Huh? Old Lotus I know, would be tryin' to beat my ass right now. If you weak, then just say that." he continued to push her, hearing her let go of a frustration noise.
"You better quit while you're ahead, I'm not playin' wit' you Austin." Lotus warned him, grabbing her water bottle off of the bench, twisting the cap open. She tried to take a sip, but Pryce knocked it out of her hand, causing her to suck her teeth. "What the fuck is wrong wit' you!" she exclaimed, shoving him away from her.
"Yea' that's right, get mad." he taunted her, shoving her shoulder back. Lotus smacked his arm away, and started to throw punch after punch. "That's right, let it out."
With each punch, Lotus became even angrier. Every single event from the moment that Reese was shot, up until now was flashing throughout her mind. She punched with so much force, that Pryce was beginning to actually feel it through the pads.
"Kick! Kick!" Pryce coached her again, as she did what she was instructed to do. Raya walked into the room, and closed the door behind her. She stood against the wall, watching the two as they maneuvered around on the mats, Lotus putting her all into every kick and punch.
Pryce blocked her next punch and swiftly snaked his arm around her neck, putting her into a chokehold. He held it for a few seconds, until Lotus tapped his arm, indicating to let go. "See, you can't be so fuckin' predictable. Remember what I taught you earlier, focus Lotus, I'm not gone say it again!" he got into her face, as she stared at him with fury in her eyes, her chest heaving up and down.
"I am focused Austin—"
"No you are not, you got too much on yo' fuckin' mind. What did I tell you? When you step into this room, I expect all those thoughts to be gone during yo' sessions wit' Raya. Stop fuckin' thinking and just do it!" he yelled at her, shoving her once again. "Now let's try this shit again—and this time, don't be so fuckin' predictable." he pointed his finger at her.
He felt Lotus smack his hand out of her face, and began to kick him. She grabbed his arm and twisted it, making him fall to his knees facing away from her. She kicked him in the back and stood over him. "Was that unpredictable enough for you?" Lotus sassed him. Both Pryce and Raya gaped at her in awe, as Lotus slowly backed away.
"Yes," he nodded his head, getting up from the floor. "That's what the fuck I'm talkin' bout, do exactly that shit—run it back." he stood in his defensive stance again, signaling her to start again.
The next thirty minutes went by without any incident. Lotus sat on the bench, gulping down her water as Pryce and Raya stood off to the side talking amongst themselves about something. Lotus watched as the two glanced over at her before Pryce licked over his lips, nodding his head looking back at Raya.
