"Man, why do I have to be stuck here with you two?" grumbled Cartman.
Stan rolled his eyes as he and Wendy kept searching through Kyle's dorm at South Park High.
"Because if you had listened to me in the first place, we wouldn't be in this mess!" retorted Stan.
Cartman folded his arms on top of Kyle's bed.
"It's not my fault Kyle turned into an evil drow elf! I'm pretty sure I told each and every one of you guys to write everything down on a character sheet!"
Stan struggled to keep his cool. He knew Kyle would never harm Apple, but what if something goes wrong?
Stan tried to snap out of it. He had to put his trust into his king.
Wendy rummaged beneath Kyle's bed, hauling out garbage, books, and strewn papers. Cartman's feet persistently thudded against her back. Irritated, she grabbed a hardcover book from Kyle's collection and whacked it against Cartman's ankle. Cartman bolted from the bed, howling in agony, oblivious to his surroundings. In an attempt to steady himself on Kyle's desk, a resounding crash echoed throughout the room. They spun around to see Cartman sprawled on the floor and the death of Kyle's stereo.
"Dude, Kyle is going to be super pissed at you!" exclaimed Stan.
"Whatever, it's just a radio," Cartman rolled his eyes.
Stan shook his head.
"No it's not. That stereo belonged to his grandmother," said Stan.
Cartman's eyes widened, already feeling the pain from his enemy.
"Can't I ever get a fucking break?!" he hissed.
Wendy tuned out the boys' constant bickering and took the opportunity to rummage through Kyle's desk, now that his stereo wasn't blocking it. Scattered about were numerous papers; some were class notes, others were doodles of him and Apple hand in hand. As she continued to search, a particular paper grabbed her attention. The name 'Apple White Broflovski,' repeatedly inscribed with a permanent marker.
A small smile graced Wendy's lips, delighted to witness someone like Apple breathe life into the Loner Kid once more. Gone was the mindless zombie, merely surviving day to day. Now, he had a genuine reason to smile again.
He had a few select sports he used to play, but nothing soothed his mind like diving into a good book. After the loss of his parents, he withdrew from everyone, earning the nickname 'Loner Kid.' It was devastating to watch him endure such pain. He faced taunts, classmates stating it was only a matter of time until he decides to join his family. Yet, she was no different, neglecting to support Stan when he needed a friend. Despite all he suffered, it warmed her heart to see how Kyle's love for books eventually led Apple into his life.
That's why she has to help them. To make up for the misery that everyone put him through.
Wendy's determination was ablaze as she rifled through every drawer and scanned each shelf. She was going to turn his room upside down until she found a clue that could lead to saving Kyle and Apple. In her fervor, she accidentally knocked her elbow, stifling any cry of pain. Massaging her elbow to ease the discomfort, something in the periphery caught her gaze.
She stretched behind the shelf, shoving aside a barricade of empty canned energy drinks, to uncover an aged, tattered green folder. With a rush of recognition, she snatched it up, the words 'South Park Elementary' emblazoned on the cover, a relic from her school days. Carefully opening the folder, it contained many notes and doodles from the games the boys used to play. Wendy begins to scan through the whole folder, finally locating Kyle's character sheet.
"Guys, I found it!"
Stan and Cartman paused their intense debate as they noticed the folder in Wendy's arms.
"No way! Was it in there all along?!" Stan exclaimed, grabbing the folder.

"Why are you going to go along with what Cartman picked for you, Kyle? There are many different kinds of elves besides being a Drow."
Kyle sat at his desk, jotting down notes for the new game they had been planning for weeks.
"I want to show that even a hero with a dark side can still prevail," Kyle said, flashing one of his motivational grins.
Stan leaned over his best friend's shoulder, perusing the notes he had compiled.
The Elven King's realm was known as keepers of the peace, yet his ancestors were once merciless conquerors, driven by a lust for power. Their overreach eventually incurred the wrath of the gods they worshiped, who cursed them in retribution. Now, at each full moon, their suppressed savagery emerges if they are provoked, exposing the sinister true nature veiled within. Only those who share a special bond with them can tame the monsters they transform into.
"Are you tying lycanthropy into your character's lore?" Stan asked, arching an eyebrow in curiosity at Kyle's intentions.
Kyle shook his head.
"It's not actually lycanthropy. It's referred to as lunar synchronization."
Stan looked at Kyle with disbelief.
"It means I'm tied to the cycles of the moon... Haven't you read my notes?" The redhead sighed.
Stan rolled his eyes, letting out a soft chuckle.
"So, who's going to pull you through when that happens?" He smirked.
"You are of course! A king always needs his loyal knight to keep him in check. I want to use this as a learning lesson to prove that true strength comes from the people you cherish the most."
Stan places a hand on Kyle's shoulder.
"That is why you are going to make one hell of a King, Kyle."
