Thor and I had been training nonstop as he was soon to be King. Although he seemed a bit 'preoccupied' with going between realms to a world known as Midgard or 'Earth'. Loki hadn't missed a single one of his training, although he didn't enjoy his time here, he had to by Odin's rules. Training was great, but lately the only thing on my mind was my magic.

Frigga had been teaching me slowly trying not to overwork and overwhelm me. The new information seemed easy but was far from it. My emotions control my magic, though Frigga says that will pass as I get stronger. She seemed to love helping but she also had been at a loss with some of my questions, and couldn't fully answer them as she didn't know the answers to my questions.

Thor knew I would be practicing with my magic and tried to not push me too much while training but he could tell I was so tired. To recover my magic I need sleep, and lots of it, or I would be extremely exhausted. Which as Thor could tell, I was already there. Frigga had asked me to meet her by the Library after lunch in the second corridor to discuss my magic with a man who knew my magic to a tee.
After training I quickly showered and made my way to the library to meet Frigga, she greeted me as we stepped inside the library and we were met by an all too familiar face.

Loki.

He too looked puzzled. As if it were a joke.

"Y/N I would like you to meet my Son, Loki. I am sure you two met at your birthday?" Frigga said smiling at you and then back at him.

"I-uh, yes, yes, we have met, nice to see you again Loki." I tried to say without embarrassing myself. Frigga had then said her goodbyes and walked away from the library, making sure that no one would distract us while we practiced.

"I thought you didn't have magic." He coldly said without looking at me.

"I have had magic from as long at I can remember. Frigga had been trying her hardest to help me but it hasn't seemed to work. It's why Odin doesn't exactly take a liking to me..." I said without noticing. I quickly looked up in shock of what I had just said to his SON. Though he didn't seem to mind.

"I guess we have more in common than I thought. Let's get to work. You're new so this is going to be difficult and eventually painful." He said turning away to not show what his words had already given away. He too, had been tossed to the side.

Before I had time to think I began to have a splitting headache, clutching my head.

"You need to open your mind or this will be difficult." He said nonchalantly.

"I- what? Open my mind? What does that even mean?" I asked, now extremely confused.

"Your mind, I can read everyone's except yours.Your magic has put your wall up in a form of protection. Which makes it impossible to speak within our minds." He had responded so easily. Yet I couldn't be more confused.

"Why do you need to read my mind?" I asked him confused as to why that was important.

"I can read everyone's, except yours. It's- frustrating." You raised your brows and the he inhaled deeply.

"Just relax and concentrate." He said. I then slowly started to concentrate on letting him in my head, and before I knew it there was slight pressure on my head.

I looked to him and he nodded letting me that it was him, but how did this work, can he hear everything I say? Like right now?

Yes. I can. Now focus.

I could hear him as clear as day but no one was talking. It was our minds. We tried to practice more and more on hearing each other's thoughts but he seemed to be getting frustrated at my noisy mind.

"Can you focus! You're giving me a headache!" He was exhausted and annoyed.

Eventually he got tired of telling me to focus and told me that he won't be helping me anymore if I kept it up.

Harsh.

As our practice had ended, I was about to leave when I had turned to apologize, I felt bad for giving him a headache.

"I'm sorry...for the headache, I hope that it doesn't last. Thank you, for helping me out through all of this..." I said in a hushed voice trying not to agitate his headache for much longer.

He seemed truly shocked by my apology, but still nodded as an acceptance.

Before heading to bed, now 11 p.m. from practicing so late with Loki, I snuck past the gates guard as always and sat, overwhelmed with the silence that filled the air. The only quietness I had in the past 8 hours. I couldn't help my thoughts wander to Loki and what he said.

"I guess we have more in common than I thought."

I wonder what he had meant by that. I sat and pondered for awhile before a rush of tiredness came over me. I then stood for a while taking in all the knowledge I had been given today and then I made my way back to my room. Passing out on my ever so comfortable bed.

I was so exhausted.
