Chapter 27: Reminiscing

Your POV

A few days had past and my mind was buzzing, I was so excited to go back to Asgard. I told Thor I wanted challenge him with some good old training back home when we got there. I started to realize maybe my daggers were a little- Outdated, and I should probably start to experiment with some new weapons if I am going to be using something all the time. I shared this with Tony and explained some of my ideas and he told me he'd work on it while I was gone.

"Yeah, don't worry kid, I'm sure I can find something for you." He smiled and punched my shoulder.

I was practically jumping out of my skin. Everyone around me noticed my excitement and couldn't help but laugh at me. Eventually I went back to the kitchen to get something to eat for dinner and was met by none other than Loki.

"Well hello Darling, you look oddly- chipper this morning. Mind telling me why?" He crept his arms around my waist and smiled at me intensely.

"Tony is gonna be working on some ideas for a new weapon. I thought maybe I could use something a little more efficient with my skills!" I smiled back at him warmly, then moved to get something out of the fridge and he took his hands away.

"Ah, well isn't that pleasant of him. And this has nothing to do with going back to Asgard does it now?" I turned around closing the fridge, now with the biggest smile planted in my face.

"Well- maybe some of it has to do with that." I gingerly walked over to him, slowly placing my hands on his chest, he grabbed my waist again gently and smiled at me.

I ran my fingers through his raven hair and he closed his eyes sighing happily. I smiled and cupped his face, we sat in silence until I put my head on his chest. I had still been buzzing about the idea of the two of us going back to Asgard and possibly- living there.

"Dance with me?" He spoke abruptly.

"Huh?" I looked up and cocked my head but still smiling, pulling away to look at him.

"But there no music-"

He held his hand out to me and smiled.

"Does there need to be?" He asked me, I gave in and gave him my hand. He proceeded to pull me close, now swaying, back and forth.

We stood there for what felt like hours, dancing slowly. He twirled me around which made me laugh, he was good at that. Making me laugh, that is.

Then pulled me back to him, my left hand on his shoulder, his on my waist and my right in his. We grew very fond of dancing, we did so, often.

He dipped me slowly, looking at each other, just for a minute before kissing me passionately.

He loosened his grip as he pulled me up again. He broke away and looked at me warmly. He was deep in thought but he wasn't doing anything, just studying my face carefully.

...

Silence...

...

I love you.

The silence echoed but those words he had spoken warmed my cheeks. I smiled hard. I put my hand to his cheek, tucking a strand of hair behind his ear.

"I love you more, Loki." I whispered softly and looked back to his eyes, smiling as bright as ever.

He smiled as wide as he'd ever smiled before, holding the back of my head. He quickly put his hand to the back of my neck, cupping my face and then kissed me. I smiled between the kisses and so did he, making us laugh as we did so.

He took my hand and lead me to the roof, smiling and laughing as he looked back.
We were like children running through a garden, filled with nothing but happiness and love. We got to the roof and we looked up, now staring at the stars that had appeared in the dark, violet sky.

We laid down on the asphalt of the compounds roof and watched the stars, pointing out the brightest ones we could. Laughing at each other as we named them silly names.

Who would have thought, the Prince of Asgard and a Warrior, fell in love in such a way.

This was what life was all about.

This is what we stumbled upon.

This is the happy ending we deserved.
