Requests are welcome x

Hope you enjoy :)

It had been a week since Hiccup and Astrid had become 'official' and they hadn't left each other's side since. Since Stoick had returned from his latest business trip, they had struggled to find some time alone, so had decided to go to the movies, which they were classing as their second date. The first being Astrid's birthday.

"Well, that movie was boring, huh?" Hiccup chuckled as he drove through the shadows.

"I liked it!" Astrid disagreed.

"Of course you did." Hiccup rolled his eyes.

"What's the matter? Too much violence for you?" Astrid teased.

"Haha, very funny." hiccup stated, sarcastically, causing his girlfriend to giggle. He was desperate to steal a glance, knowing she scrunched her nose up in the most adorable way when she laughed, but he didn't dare, lest he lose focus on the road.

"Do you like ANY movies?" Astrid wondered.

"What? Of course, I do!" He defended.

"Oh yeah? Like what?" She smirked knowingly. Hiccup thought hard for a moment before finally giving up.

"Okay fine. I don't like movies." He sighed in defeat. "I just prefer reading and writing."

"So why don't you write your own movie?" Astrid suggested.

"What?"

"Write your own movie." She repeated. "That can be your next project. You can design the characters and the scenes too."

"That's actually not a bad idea." He thought. "But what would I write about?"

"Anything." Astrid shrugged. "What about our old dragon adventures?"

"You want me to write a story about a make-believe world we created when we were four?"

"Why not?" Astrid pouted. "I'll help."

"You know what? Why not!" Hiccup agreed. Astrid turned to look out of the window, feeling rather pleased with herself.

A freezing fog and drizzle had coated every surface in a glaze of ice.

Everything in the moonlight was coated in a shimmer of ice as they made their way steadily along the slippery highway. It made the world pretty and dangerous all at once.

At a set of traffic lights near a crossing, Hiccup could look over to where Astrid was smiling brightly. His heart turned over in his chest, fluttering powerfully. Astrid glanced behind him, gesturing with her head.

"Light is green."

Hiccup had barely decided to turn and start driving again when he heard the squeal of burning rubber, then the world tipped over on its axis with a scream of metal on metal as the vehicle continued to tumble.

In an instant, Astrid's body lunged forward in a ferocious blur. Her head impacted the windshield as her left leg became grotesquely wedged between the seat and the dashboard. The forward momentum shredded ligament and cartilage, while shattered bone tried in vain to hold the limb together in one piece.

Violently slammed against his seatbelt, Hiccup felt something hit his face and the world turned black.
