The large wooden doors swung open and in strutted Felicia Hardy, she looked like a supermodel sashaying along a catwalk as she made her way towards the front desk.

Looking up at her, the receptionist was squinting through her glasses as eyes unfocused from how closely her cross she was doing was held to her face, "You're new" she said in a dissatisfied manor.

"Felicia Hardy" Licia grinned as she held out her hand towards the lady. The receptionist cautiously extended her arm and interlocked her fingers with Licia as they shook.

"Nice to meet you, Miss.." Licia paused as she glanced down at the woman's name badge, "Miss Vance"

"Pleasure" Miss Vance's tired face warmed up and gave the girl a smile, "It's nice to see a teenager with manners"

"My mother raised me well" Licia said, she knew how to get on someone's good side and usually with adults that are over 40 and work with teenagers, all she needed to do was be the child they never had. It wasn't particularly hard she just pretended that whoever she was talking to was royalty or someone important.

The receptionist smiled again and pushed forward a form and a pen, "To get signed in and officially be apart of this school just out your name at the top and you're ready to go. Oh and there are also some clubs you can put your name down and I'll put you into the system to join them."

The new student slid the piece of paper, popped open the lid of the pen and scribbled her name down on the top, as well as ticking some of the boxes of the clubs and after school sports she wanted to attend. Licia ended up choosing football, which she thought was an only guys thing but she might as well go see if they allow girls, cheer, soccer, volleyball, she also put her name down for the lunch time clubs which included, technology club, book club and scholastic 'brainiacs'.

"Hey ahah I do cheer and volley too!"

Licia looked up at the girl who had suddenly appeared next to her. She was quite tanned and had long, perfectly curled dark hair, Licia already knew that she was popular or at least she had a lot of friends.

"Oh yes!" Miss Vance exclaimed, "This is Kelly and she sometimes helps me out in the office, she'll be showing you around school"

The girl was smiling warmly at Licia as she looked back at her,

"Cool, I'm Licia" Kelly smiled again and ushered the new girl to follow her. The corridors were lined with lockers and murals all over the walls, home room had already started to there were few students roaming the area.

"So book club and tech huh?" Kelly turned to Licia as they were touring the school, "Are you like some nerd or? I mean you don't look like one but uh-" Licia internally scoffed at the girls very forward and slightly rude attitude.

"I like books, we've got a library at home," as soon as Licia mentioned that Kelly's eyes went wide.

"You've got a library?! Damn you must be rolling in it" Licia chuckled and shook her head, cringe.

"No not really it's just sort of like our storage room, barely a library" She hoped Kelly couldn't tell it was a tiny bit of a lie, yes they had a library but yes it was also had some old storage boxes in there, so she wasn't really fibbing.

"Oh and tech club, uh well one of parents-friends taught me how to code on a computer and I, to be honest, think it's hella cool " Licia shrugged and glanced to the other girl who was nodding her head in understanding.
