Chapter 6

As soon as Licia walked into school she knew something was up, students where speaking amongst themselves and huddled in groups conversing very suspiciously. A boy in one of Licias classes recognised her and immediately glided over.

"Hey Felicia!" He said excitedly.

"Morning, uh-" she started, having no clue who this boy was.

"Grey" he said with a warm smile. What an odd name, she thought.

"Hi Grey" Licia said as the two slowly walked down the hallway towards her locker, "Do you um- know what's going on?"

"Yep!" He replied chirpily "Apparently there's going to be a whole school assembly in the gym,"

"Nice, I can tell they don't happen often seen as though most of the student body can hardly believe it" Licia laughed as she looked around

"Well, you see that's the weird part, we have an assembly about every two weeks or so, the reason why people are so talkative is that apparently there's like a celebrity here or something!"

"No way, who?" Licia raised her eyebrow, curious about who the mystery guest could be.

"Spider-Man" Grey responded, practically jumping out and down, squeeling. Licia could feel her heart literally stop for a minute, all of her hairs started to stand up on her arm and she felt like making a run for it. Why was Spider-Man here, at her school? Maybe S.H.E.I.L.D figured out it was her? Maybe they're here to publicly arrest her, and if so she might actually have to leg it. Suddenly the large speaker-phones mounted on the walls started to pick up and release an ear bleeding sound, causing anyone and everyone to cover there ears almost immediately.

"All faculty and students must report to the gym for a special assembly, attendance is mandatory."

Licia was about to turn back around and head home, just as Grey grabbed her arm and said, "Come on, we can walk together"

Not wanting to seem rude, she hesitated, "You know, thanks for the offer but I really need the toilet, you head off without me"

"You can wait, let's go" he groaned, yanking her arm. The taller boy grabbed Licias wrist and lead her through the corridors packed with people heading to the gym, eventually they got through everyone and into the gym and sat down at a couple of available seats. Students and teachers were filling the gym up quickly, there was a mini stage set up with a microphone and various people around the area. Once everyone had settled down Mr Morita, the headteacher, stepped fourth and grabbed the microphone stand adjusting it to his preferences.

"Morning everyone I hope everyone slept well, here are some quick announcements before we get started, chess club is cancelled tonight and you will have to seek your own arrangements home, and whichever couple were messing about in the janitors closet by the Roosevelt hallway, please report to Mr. Crawley immediately as they need to clean up their mess as it is extremely unsafe for him to-" he cleared his throat and eyed everyone as he continued, "Anyways, moving on, we have a rather pressing matter at hand which has called for a few visitors in today" Mr Morita stepped away and gave the mic to a tall rough-looking man in a dark trench coat.

"Hello students of Midtown, my name is Nick Fury and I work with the government." The man said flatly and with authority, "We are here today to do some investigating regarding an illegal action the was taken place a day if not hours ago, you will all be taken back to your classes, a few of you will be taken to a separate classroom and interviewed." Licia could feel her temperature rising and her heart rate increasing. She knew exactly what was going on here. And so did a few other students as they looked at each other worriedly, foolishly thinking they were all getting busted for smoking maryjane.
