[Chapter 22]

White.
It was all white.

The walls, the floor, everything.

Even the clothing the girl had been changed into was white, her pale skin and raven-black hair the only colour contrasted in this blinding room.

When she awoke, her heart pounded. She couldn't make out anything in this room. It was all the same, the same bright colour at all sides, all corners.

There wasn't any windows, nor a visible door handle.
As her eyes adjusted, she began to notice a few pieces of furniture scattered in the room.

On the far left side there was a pure-white bed, all made and ready for someone to rest in.
In the middle of the room there lay a table and two chairs, clearly an interrogation table.

"So they expect to keep me here awhile.. well shit.." Kara mumbled, looking up to the roof.
A red light blinked down on her.

Of course there were cameras.
There was one door visible off to the side, only just. The girl crawled slowly over towards it, pushing it open.
A toilet sat inside.

"At least they gave me a bathroom.. that's nice I suppose.." she said, heading back out to the bed.
She pushed herself up against it, wincing at the pain through her shoulder, before standing and walking around the room.
She couldn't spot the other door.
She tugged at her wrists, pain searing through them.
"Of course, it's roped.. I'm surprised they took the ankle bracelets off.." She whispered, pulling her legs over her arms, placing her wrists under her foot and tugging.

An electric current coursed through her body, making her gasp, falling to the floor, breathing heavily.

"What the fuck.." she gasped, rubbing her neck, only to find a thick choker tied around it.
Kara's eyes widened in stress, tugging at the brim of the necklace.

"That won't work." Someone said.
Kara looked up, spotting the leader of Enhypen sitting on the chair.
"Jungwon.. hi.." She said, leaning her back on the bed, her roped wrists in her lap.
"What's the choker for? You're going to zap me every time I misbehave?" Kara said, her breathing still ragged.
"That's for the others to decide. I was against it, really. But they all believed you'd escape. It's not like they were wrong." Jungwon said.
"What's this room for? I'd be better off in a basement. Or dead in a ditch. I hate the colour white." Kara said, looking at Jungwons black attire, and his faded-brown streaks in his dark hair.
"I'm actually not sure. You can ask Namjoon when he comes back. Question for you though.. do you have any idea why they want you? I've been given no information, just to 'take the girls in black, the ones that work with Stray Kids.' So we did.. but I don't know why." Jungwon asked, leaning forward.

"No clue, can't help you there. Something about a secret or some shit. They seem to want me and Gabs because we're handy, I suppose, so they keep pulling these stupid tricks to take us from our group." Kara answered.
"Wait.. is Gabs..?" She started, panic filling her whole.

"The other girl? Yeah, she's here. TXT brought her themselves. We didn't want to bring you in the same van, it was the bosses order. So if your friends came after one van, they couldn't take the other." Jungwon said briefly.
The girl began to panic, her heart racing. "Where is she. Is she nearby. Did you hurt her?" Kara asked, her voice wavering, lowering into a growl.
"She's perfectly safe, don't worry. Jake's with her in the next room." Jungwon said slowly.

Kara's heart slowed ever so slightly. "Right.. of course.." She sighed, looking at the floor.
"The other groups will be awhile, the gala goes all night. We can do something if you want. It has to be in here though. Do you want to play UNO or something?" Jungwon asked.

"Sure, yeah okay.." Kara responded, looking down at her wrists, which were bruised and bleeding.
"Can you loosen these, you made them too tight."

"Sorry, I can't.." Jungwon said, frowning. "I'll be right back.. wait here." He said, walking off.
She heard a door close, but when she looked up, she couldn't see its outline.
