She stepped closer, placing a hand next to my head.
I froze in place.
I saw what she did to Jimin, and if she was like them, she would be strong.

"I'm going to request one thing from you, and in payment I will keep you safe. Some really bad people want you, Park Y/N. I'll answer one of your questions too. So keep this quiet. Do not tell Jungkook, do not tell Hyunjin, and act calm. Do not tell Ji Woo, otherwise I will have to hurt her. Got it? The more people who you tell, the more danger you and them will be in." Kara said, eyes cold as they stared into mine.

"I won't.. don't hurt her." I said.
She smiled, pulling away.
"Of course not. Now, what do you want to know?"

"You're apart of Stray Kids, aren't you?"

She grinned. "I'm apart of the Stray Sisters, darling. The strongest female duo in the whole of South Korea."
"But at the end of the day, yes I am."

"I'm trying to protect you from some very bad people, you know. You heard what I said, and I meant it. You're all I've got." She said, looking to the floor.
"I really didn't want you to find out. I didn't want to be viewed as a monster, you know?" She said, smiling sadly.

I was so confused. She switched up so fast, as she stood on the verge of tears in front of me, when moments ago she was threatening me and Ji Woo.

I gave her a hug.
"You're not a monster. Now let's go back to the others."
She nodded, grabbing the door as she kicked it open.
I heard the lock click on the other side, as she opened the door for me.
I walked down, her following with Beomgyu.

Things were definitely going to change, that was for sure.

The siren rang shortly after as I went to my last class for the day.
Gabs sat next to me, looking at me from the corner of her eye.
"You look like I'm about to slit your throat. What's wrong?" She asked, turning to me.
"Nothing." I said, looking away.
These 'Stay Sisters' Kara mentioned was clearly her and Gabs.
So maybe I did think that.
Saying Kara had said they were the strongest duo in South Korea.
That was a terrifying thought.

Whilst I had never seen Gabs get violent, I didn't really want to.
Then again, maybe she was strong in other ways.
Like Kara was the bodyguard, and she was the informant.
It would explain her ideas in giving information for money, but still, I was scared of her.

"If that's what you say. I won't judge, though. Has Hyunjin told you where the date is yet?" She enquired.
I shook my head. "He's going to send Kara the location, so she can drop me off. So no clue."
Gabs hummed. "Just know he is one hunk of a guy. Very romantic, and very pretty. Look after him, and he'll look after you. Although, he's nasty when someone breaks his heart." She shuddered.
"Last girl who did that ended up in a huge mess. Moved schools because of it. Don't get me wrong, he's not a bully, she was just scared of him. He gets scary when he's angry."

"I could imagine." I whispered back.
When the bell finally rang, Kara came to get me, loitering outside my class.
I saw Jimin walking towards her, as she tensed.
They exchanged words briefly, before he frowned walking off.

"What was that about?" I asked, as I stood next to her.
"I told him that I wanted some space, because I was confused. He didn't understand what I meant, but I told him he could drive home without me, and I would come later. I've got some things to deal with." She said, looking to her watch.
"I'm going to miss my train at this rate. Go home with Ji Woo. I'll be back before your date, don't worry."

With that Kara ran off, leaving me standing there alone, awkwardly.
"Okay..." I said, searching for Ji Woo.
But the parking lot was empty, except for the teachers cars, and a few others I didn't know the owners to.

When I was walking to my own, I felt someone grab my wrist.
I turned, assuming it would be Jeongin or Jungkook, but I was met with a total stranger, making me pull away.
"Who are you?"

"You don't need to know that. You're Y/N, yes?" He asked.
"No." I said quickly.
He laughed. "I'm not stupid. I know who you are, lie as you want, but you can't trick me."

I turned and bolted for my car, but he was a lot faster, as he grabbed at my wrist, yanking me towards him before he pushed me to the floor, getting on top of me in an instant.

I tried to push him off, but he had my hands by the side of my head before I could do anything.
"You're not running away from me. The voices in your head are worth a pretty penny you know." He smiled.

I tried to kick up, or knee him, but he was heavy.
I heard rushed footsteps, as someone came running forward, tumbling right into the man.
I sat up as the weight from my legs was released, and looked towards the both of them, who were fighting.

Hyunjin had the man pinned beneath him, a knife at his throat.
"Who sent you?"
"What do you mean who sent me? She's an open mission, why does it matter?" The man scoffed.
Hyunjin dug the knife in deeper, drawing blood.

"Jeongin, take Y/N home. I'll deal with this asshole."Hyunjin growled, as I saw Jeongin walk up to me.
He just nodded towards me, as I walked over to him quickly, gripping at his arm.
"I'll explain it all later- Ah, rather he will." Jeongin whispered.
I just nodded along. I didn't need it to be explained to me. I knew who they were.
Although, it would be nice if I could know why people wanted me.
Seriously, what sort of movie was I living in?

Jeongin pulled me to his car, as we drove off, leaving Hyunjin to deal with the guy himself.
"How come you guys were still at the school?"
"I was getting books from the library. Hyunjin helped me find them." Jeongin said, nodding towards his bag in the back.

"Can I ask you something?"
"Go ahead."
"Do you hate Kara?"

I heard him suck the air in between his teeth, before he sighed.
"If you want me to be honest with you, then no. None of us do. It's all, ah, an act if you could call it that? You're aware she's been with Jungkook and his friends, yes?" Jeongin asked, glancing at me.
I nodded. "Yeah."

"Well, you see if it looked like we liked her, there would be a problem. Kara's probably explained it to you like this, but it's similar to Romeo and Juliet. The families won't work together, so to make one side happy you have to act like you hate the other. Simple as that." He said, as he pulled into the driveway of their house.
"You didn't take me home." I pointed out.
"Well, I imagine Gabs will want to take you shopping for your date, and then Hyunjin can take you from here. Kara will be fine, I heard you're living with her." Jeongin said.

"If you say so.." I mumbled, as he unlocked the house, letting us both in, before we were swarmed by our friends.
They seemed very happy to see me.

Hyunjin pushed the blade deeper into the man's neck, staring daggers into his eyes.
"Who. Sent. You." He asked again.
"The- the people who sent out the request. They were getting impatient." The man stammered, every word drawing more blood.
Hyunjin stood up, off of the man.
"Impatient, huh? Tell them the mission will be complete soon."
Hyunjin glanced at his phone.

"The endgame of this horrible mission is coming. With that, so will the war."
