I looked at my uncle, confused.
Gabs spared a glance between the both of us, before finally nodding.

"I get it now. Your family were mafiosos! It explains why you're so wanted dear, you should feel special." Gabs chuckled, as my uncle glared at her.

"Quiet, girl, until we find a use for you." He seethed, as I frowned.

"Please don't be so mean to my friend, Uncle, she's the reason I've survived this. People have actually tried to kill me, y'know?" I lied, glancing at Gabs.

A smile played on her lips, before she sighed.

"She's right sir, me and Kara have been very useful to your precious Y/N." Gabs acknowledged.

My uncle scoffed. "Kara? As in Min Kara? Shove that ideology up your ass, she's about as handy as her parents were, and we all know how that turned out."

"Did you have something to do with that?" I asked, gulping slightly as Gabs listened in.

If my family were responsible for Kara's parents - she would probably never speak to me again.

He shrugged. "I can't answer that. Now, are we going to visit the ones who made this mission possible for you, or do you want to stay in here?"

I glanced at Gabs, as she nodded. "I'll be okay here. Well, of course I'd prefer to come along, but..." she trailed, as my uncle laughed.

"Oh no, you're staying here. Sorry." He said, walking behind me to free my ankles, but keeping my hands tied.

"It's a precaution, love. I don't know whether they've trained you, or whatever's been happening. Come on, let's go meet them."

Everyone was preparing, talking strategies and plans among their groups, as Kara just sat against the back wall, her stomach aching.
She was assuming it had been stitched up, and all the people who were medics, to her knowledge, were quite good, so she doubted it would tear.

She would be fine, but Gabs might not be.

She also wanted to kill the sick son of a bitch who wanted her dead, because really? She didn't even know who they were.

Bang Chan came over and sat in front of her.

"Are you okay?"

Kara smiled. "I'm fine, thank you."

"Are you going to come?" This time it was Namjoon who asked, as Kara looked up at him.

"Depends, you know, how I'm feeling, or where we're going. Are you sure all the locations are actual leads or are we running on a hunch?" Kara asked, as Namjoon frowned.

"Kara, do you know anything."

She shook her head. "No, I just want to make sure you're not wasting any time finding my friend."

He just hummed a response, walking off.

Bang Chan stayed seated there.

"Kara, after this is all over, am I able to talk to you?" He asked.
He looked nervous, Kara noted.

She shrugged.
"Sure, okay. I don't know where I'll be standing by tomorrow though." Kara replied, glancing around the room.

"Well, I hope you come back to us, because once the mission is over, there's no reason to stay with Jimin anymore." Bang Chan whispered the last part, standing up.

Kara couldn't look him in the eye.

What if she liked Jimin? She couldn't just leave.

Dawn was coming, as Kara watched everyone leave in groups.
