Beep Beep Beep

You rolled over in your bed annoyed. What is that sound, you thought as you sat up. You reached over to your night table and turned on the light.
"What's that smell?" You muttered as you kick off your blankets and slipped on your slippers. You walked to your door and placed your hand on the door nob. "Ow!" You retracted your hand, bringing it to your chest. The door knob was extremely hot. You grabbed a jacket from your closet and wrapped it around your hand to open the door. Once the door was open you were hit with a cloud of smoke. You started coughing, covering your mouth and nose. Down the hall were growing flames. You stared at the flames in shock, how were you going to get out? The stairs were set a blaze. You ran back to your room and slammed the door shut. You rushed to the window and stuck your head out. There was no way you would be able to climb out successfully. Your window was too high. You let out a sigh as you started to think of another way. With no choice you ran to the bathroom connected to your room and shut the door. You turned on the water in the sink and grabbed some towels. You drenched the towels in water and stuck it under the door. The moisture would keep out any smoke so you wouldn't breathe in the toxic air. Outside you could hear the sirens sounding. You just prayed that they had gotten to you in time. You climbed into the tub and sat in the water, waiting.
