After Nettie had stormed out of the hospital, you guys were allowed to see Elliott. You held Louis' hand tightly as you two walked through the blank white corridors. Each room you guys passed by, you would glance in them. Everyone was here for something different. Louis had finally got to Elliott's room.
"I don't think I can see her this way..." Louis admits, turning away from the door. You grabbed his arm.
"You have to...Elliott needs you right now. You need to stay strong, stay calm, keep your head together. I know it hurts and everything is really confusing right now. You want answers...I know that...but until you get them. Elliott needs to know you're here with her." Louis looks at you.
"You're right, you're always right." He cups your face, resting his forehead against yours. "If I didn't have you...I don't know what I would do." He brushes his lips against yours. Louis pulls away, looking at the door that would lead to his daughter.
"Go on..." You whispered to him. "I'm here with you." You encouraged him. Louis took a deep breath, his hand grabbing hold of the door knob. He twists the knob and pushes the door open. You watch as he slowly steps inside. When he did, he dropped to his knees. You rush to him.
"Louis get up." You grab his arms, but he just started crying. He cries and cries and cries. You look to what he was looking at.
"Jesus..." You whisper looking at Elliott's little body on the hospital bed.
"I'm going to kill whoever did this." Louis walks over to her bed side. You stand on the other side. Louis grabs hold of her little hand. He kisses the back of it.
"Hi princess...daddy is here...and I'm going to get whoever did this to you. I promise." He croaks out. You place a hand on your mouth in shock and disbelief. What kind of a monster hurts a kids to this diagree? You look at her monitors. Her little heart was fighting to pump blood throughout her body and brain. You had faith that she was going to survive this. You knew she would. Louis kissed her cheek gently, he pushed back her curls. He stood up straight and wiped his eyes.
"Can you stay here with her? I need to do something." Louis looks at you. You stare into his eyes.
"Louis...please don't do anything stupid." You plead with him. Louis looks down at Elliott.
"I'm not making any promises." Louis walked out the room, leaving you with his daughter, who you considered to be your own as well. You bit your nails nervously, waiting for Louis to come back.
Louis rushed out the hospital into the cold crisp air. He pulled out his car keys, marching over to his car. He got in and slammed the door shut, quickly starting the engine. He mumbled a few curses to himself as he drove down the road. He slammed his hands on the steering wheel over and over again. Louis increased the speed he was driving, ignoring all stop signs and traffic lights. When Louis got to his destination, he pulled over, parking the car. Louis hopped out of his car, he rushed up the pathway to the front door. He banged on the door, his nose flaring from the anger building up in him.
"What do you want-" Louis snatched the guy by his collar, punching him square in the face.
"Is that what you did to her?" Louis stared at the male on the floor, cupping his nose. "Get up. Fight me." Louis delivered a kick to the guys gut. The male, curled up, groaning in pain. "You can only hit little girls? You can't hit someone your own size?" Louis hovered above the guy, blow after blow after blow came heavily down on the guy. All Louis saw was red, he saw his little girl in the hospital fighting for her life.
"Ah! Louis get off of him!" Nettie came running out the house. She jumped on Louis' back, pounding her fists on him. Louis shrugged her off, causing her to fall on the grass. He stood up looking at the guy. "You better hope my daughter is still breathing and well by tomorrow morning or you won't get to see another day." Louis spat on him. He walked away from the scene, getting into his car. Just as he drove off, he saw Nettie rushing over to the guy, comforting him. Louis drove back to the hospital.
You were sleeping when Louis had walked in. Louis lifted you up and took you to the recliner instead, where you would be more comfortable.
"Louis." You mumble, rolling over. Your eyes began to flutter open.
"Hey babe.." He whispers, stroking your cheeks.
"What happened to your hand?" You sat up, examining his knuckles. "Were you in a fight?" Louis nods, staring at his hands.
"It was nothing, I didn't even get hurt." You let out a sigh.
"When you were gone...Elliott woke up." Louis' head shot over to Elliott on the bed.
"They gave her some medicine to knock her out again. They said she needed to be asleep for a bit longer so the swelling in her brain could go down. I told you she was a fighter." Louis nods, pecking your lips.
"She's my little champion."
