(I have nothing against Sophia, I just picked her as Liam's ex. I have nothing negative to say about her or her relationship with Liam. Although I think he should be with a coughblack girlcough. Lmao.)
You waddled down the isle full of baby clothes. You smiled , picking up some cute baby boy outfits. You glanced over to Liam who was browsing the clothing as well.
"Babe look how cute this is." He comes to you holding up an outfit. You took it from him, nodding in agreement. It was cute. Liam grabbed hold of your hand, letting you shop some more. You were only about 7 months pregnant, so you had a bit more time to go in the pregnancy. After shopping for about 2 hours, you were ready to go. You needed to use the bathroom badly, but you would not use the public restroom for sanitary reasons.
At home, Liam and you were in the nursery unpacking the clothes you guys had bought. "I can't wait to meet him." You said softly, rubbing your thumb over the patterns in a little onsie. Liam smiles over at you, pecking your lips.
"Same here," he began before he was interrupted by the sound of his phone ringing. He sighed and pulled it out, he read the caller Id. You watched him pick up the phone and walk out the room. You frowned and finished putting the clothes away. Whenever he got a call and left you already knew who it was. Sophia, his ex. You got up slowly, gathering the store bags. You walked out the room, going down the steps carefully.
"Sophia, I can't make it. You know that! Its not even her fault, don't you dare say that about her!" You heard Liam shouting into the phone. "Put Ida on the phone." Liam demands. You watch him lean on the back door, running a hand through his hair. "Hey princess," he spoke into the phone. You went to the fridge and got out a bottle of water. Liam had a daughter with Sophia. She was the cutest thing ever. Her name was Ida, but you only got to meet her a couple of times. Sophia gave Liam a hard time when it came to seeing his daughter, she wouldn't let Idea come visit him with you in the house. That made no sense at all seeing as you were married to Liam and you weren't going anywhere. You sipped on the water, waiting for Liam to finish talking on the phone. When he was done, you got up and walked to him.
"What happened?" You asked wrapping your arms around him. Liam shook his head, kissing your cheek.
"Sophia wants me to come to Ida's dance recital tonight." You looked at the time.
"Why don't we go?" You suggested. Liam stares at you.
"Are you sure?" You nod your head yes. You weren't going to keep a father from his own daughter.
"Yeah, let me just fix my hair then we can leave."
Thirty minutes later you were in the car on the way to the dance school. Liam held your hand the entire time, telling you how amazing you were and how much he loved you for doing this. At the school, Liam led you inside trying to find some good seats. Once you guys were seated, the lights in the room went down and the spotlight came on the stage. You smiled watching the little boy and girls leaping across the stage, dancing to the beat of the song. You always loved ballet when you were younger, but couldn't continue that career for personal reason. After the show was over, Liam went to find Ida back stage.
"What are you doing here?" You heard a voice hiss behind you. You held your purse tightly, turning to see Sophia glaring down at you. If only looks could kill.
"Oh, um Liam wanted to come see Ida dance." You told her, biting your lips gently. You hated any encounters with Sophia, they never ended well. She had a serious hatred for you and you never had a reason why.
"That explains why Liam is here, not you." She rolls her eyes. You got up from your seat.
"In not here to argue with you, Sophia." You plead with her, all you wanted was a peaceful night. You did not want to be worked up while you were pregnant.
"You're just with him for his money." Sophia whispers to you, grabbing your arm. You winced slightly, pulling your arm away from her.
"Don't touch me."
Sophia took a step towards you.
"If you weren't pregnant, he'd leave you and come to me. Let's face it, I'm more prettier then you will ever be. I'm white, you're black. Your relationship with him will never be accepted. I'm better for him."
Your eyes started to water as she stared smugly at you. Some of the things she said were a bit of a sensitive subject for you. At the start of your relationship with Liam, you received a lot of hate. Obviously it was due to your skin color. To have Sophia shove that in your face was like adding salt to an open wound. "Aww did I make you cry?" Sophia taunts.
"Y/n? Sophia?" Liam walked over to you guys, Ida perched in his arms. "Why are you crying?" He asks you, but then he realized Sophia must have said something to you.
"What did you say to her?" He glares at Sophia. Sophia shrugs and fixes her jacket.
"Nothing, I just told her what she needed to hear." You wip away the tears that were falling from your eyes.
"She's jealous of me. She's jealous that I have you and she doesn't. No matter what color skin I have, I will always rise above you Sophia. You know that and you hate it. You're a very bitter person. Just know god don't like ugly."
