You sat on your side of the court room, bouncing your leg up and down because you were pissed and anxious. Every few seconds you would throw a glare in the direction Harry had sat with his lawyer. It had been a little over 3 months since you had kicked him out of your shared house for denying your daughter, Carson. Carson was now five months old and an extremely talkative baby. She sat next to you on your mother's lap, oblivious to what was going on. After kicking Harry out of your house, he had requested a DNA test be done. That made you even more made and you really broke it off with him. You did not want to see him, talk to him, or be in the same room as him. Much to your dismay, your family had convinced you to give him the DNA test he desperately wanted. The results came back within two weeks and surprise, surprise, Harry was in fact the father of Carson. However, you still did not want to be with him after everything he had put Carson through. Harry did not see it that way. He saw it as protecting himself from people trying to "steal" his money. When he said that to you, the only image playing through your head was your heel flying at his head. You didn't even ask him for child support, so you could not understand how he had assumed the whole money situation. Sensing your gaze, Harry tilted his head slightly to look at you. He did feel bad that he was doing this, but he wanted rights to see his daughter.
"All rise..." the judge walked into the room, his robe flowing behind him as he made his way to his chair. He sat down, bang the wooden mallet, and court was in session. Harry's lawyer stood up.
"Your honor, my client is only requesting that he gets joint custody of his daughter. He would like to have her every other week." His lawyer spoke. Your mouth dropped when you heard that. Every other week? Who did this fool think he was? He couldn't even watch her for a couple of hours. Carson babbles, grabbing hold of your mother's shirt to hoist herself up into a standing position. You glanced her, eyes glistening with tears. She was everything to you and you did not want to share custody of her. Harry didn't even want her, he was just doing this to get back at you for breaking up with him. The judge nods taking into account what the lawyer had to say. Your lawyer stood up as well.
"Your honor, Mr. Styles is a celebrity. He spends most of his time on the road traveling. That is not safe for a child as young a Carson." Your lawyer retorted. Harry rolled his eyes, his fist clenching. He whispered something to his lawyer. His lawyer nodded and stood up again.
"That is simply unfair to use my client's fame against him. His career has no say how he will parent his child. He is very capable for providing for his child." You gripped the edge of the desk listening to both lawyers firing facts back and forth. You were the better parent to have custody of Carson. Full custody. Harry did not deserve visitation.
"I have listened to both sides of this case and have made my decision. Mr. Harry Styles shall receive weekend visitation of the child. There is no sense in uprooting the child from her mother for an entire week. Holidays will be alternated every other year. You guys will have to figure out who will take which holidays this coming year and switch the next." With his ruling done, the judge left the room. You weren't happy with the ruling, but it was better than having Carson with Harry for a week. That would have been hell for you. Smiling in triumph, you picked up Carson and carried her to the waiting room, to wait for the papers to be ready to sign.
