Baby Mama Drama 2 //Niall//

"There you go, buddy." You kissed Hunter's head, before standing up straight. You turned on his night light and began to walk to the door to leave.
"Y/n...?" Hunter whispered your name. You turned around, watching the young boy pull his covers up to his chin. "Does my mommy not love me anymore?" He sniffles. You let out a sigh and walk over to him.
You wip away the stray tear that escaped his eyes. No child should ever feel like they were unloved or unwanted.
"Your mother is going through a phase...a very childish phase. She loves you very much and I guess...she feels like you'd be better living with your dad." You tried to explain to the little boy. He nods his head, playing with his lips.
"Well...since my mom doesn't want to take care of me anymore....can you be my new mommy?" Hunter asked hopefully. You smiled softly at him, running your hand through his hair.
"Of course, I'd be honored to." Hunter lets out a squeal and wrapped his lanky arms around you. You embraced him.
"Now get some rest, we have a big day tomorrow." You told him. He nods, cuddling into his blankets.
"Night mommy..." His voice trails off as he falls asleep. You stood in the room for a bit, then walked out.
In bed, you were feeding Edison. Niall was laying besides you, reading a few forms for tomorrows court day.
"He asked me to be his mommy today." You told Niall. Niall looked up from the paper.
"Hunter?" He asked. You nod and start to pat Edison's back softly. Niall sets the forms down on the nightstand, you now had his full attention. "What'd you tell 'em?" He questions. Edison let out a small burp.
"I told him that I would."
Niall smiled grabbing your hand.
"You're amazing, you know that?" You shake your head. Niall sighs and pecks your lips. "I feel bad for 'em. His mother is not someone I want 'em around anymore. I hope the courts appoint full custody to me." Niall tells you. You had to agree with him on that. Lucy was not fit to be mother. All she cared about was shopping, money, and parties.
The next morning you had to get up early to get all the kids ready. You gave Hunter and Sienna their baths at the same time, then quickly got them dress.
"Hunter, sweetie brush your teeth." You instructed him as you combed Sienna's hair into a high pony. Hunter grabs his tooth brush and squeezes some tooth paste on it.
"Is this enough?" He shows you the amount he placed.
"Yep." You stood up, setting Sienna down. Hunter brushed his teeth, rinsing the tooth paste away with water.
"Done." He shows you his teeth. You gave him two thumbs up. After helping Sienna brush her teeth, you brought the two of them downstairs. Niall stood in the kitchen, he was already dressed in his button up shirt, tie, and dress pants.
"You look nice." You told him, walking into the room. Niall chuckles, he was wiping food from Edison's mouth.
"I try." He grins. You smile nudging him out the way so you could take Edison. Niall turned to Sienna and Hunter.
"Well look at you guys." He smiles kneeling to their level.
"I look like you daddy!" Hunter exclaims. Niall picks him up.
"Of course you do, little man."
You got your baby bag and added some snacks for the kids. You then got out se yogurt for the kids to eat. When they were done, you threw everything in the trash.
"Niall, we're done." You told him. He grabs his car keys and heads to the front door.
"C'mon Sienna." You hold out your hand for her. She ignores your hand, walking out after her dad.
"I big girl." She tells you. You laugh and let her walk to the car. Niall buckled her into her car seat along with Hunter. You set Edison in his, making sure all the belts were tight and secure.
At the court house you all sat patiently, waiting for your case to be called. Niall was bouncing his leg up and down, chewing on his lips as he looked around. You rested your hand on his knee.
"Everything will be fine."
"I hope."
You leaned your head on his shoulder, observing everything that was going on around you.
"Hunter!" You looked up to see Lucy standing a few feet from you guys. Hunter looked up from your phone he was playing on. "Come to mommy." She opens her arms out for him. Hunter looks away from her, frowning. Lucy puts her arms down, glaring at Niall. "You've turned him against me?" She accused Niall.
Niall rolls his eyes, "I didn't do anything. You did this." Lucy lets out a laugh, she then pushed her hair behind her ear.
"You don't understand, he is too much to deal with. I'm young, I want to party. I want to have fun." Niall stares at her.
"Then why are you complaining that he doesn't want you anymore?"
"Well..." Lucy begins, but Niall holds out a hand to silence her.
"Well nothing. Hunter will no longer be your son after today."
Lucy shook her head, "You can't do that. You won't win."

After the session

Lucy storms out of the court room. Her face red from all her anger and frustration. Niall was smiling wide as he carried Hunter.
"I knew we would win. I knew it."
