Mary Ellen was sat alone in the same cell you've been in for the past few years. She was on board the USS Intrepid when it crashed on a Klingon planet, she was the only survivor and the Klingons took pity on her young age. She knew they could force hed to go against her people but she also knew that they could be a lot more brutal. Mary Ellen was 7 when they crashed now she was now 18. After another round of the guards horrific beatings she heard loud shrieks as well as shots being fired. Spooked Mary-Ellen hid under the bunk and waited for the strange sounds to pass, unaware to her someone had seen her hiding. "Captain I've got someone!" The voice shouted as a tall dark haired beard man approached her hiding spot. He knelt on the floor and stuck his head under to talk to her better, "Hi I'm Commanded William T Riker of the USS Enterprise what's your name?" "Mary-Ellen Elizabeth Adams," "Oh thank god, Captain I've found her prepare to beam out, Riker to Enterprise two to beam up." He pulled her out from under the bunk as she felt the floor fade from underneath her.
The darkness of the cell became the bright lights of the Enterprise transporter room. She was unaware that she was still clinging to Riker, "Alright lets get her to sick bay she's been missing for almost a decade who knows what those Klingons did to her," a female voice shouted as others dressed in blue approached Mary-Ellen. Blue was the same colour as that cruel Klingons eyes, he would always dress on blue. She crawled back her back against the transporter before noticing the wide open door in front of her. She carefully stood up before running for it, she didn't care where she ran to only to run.
In a long bright hallway she ran into someone, he was the same height as her and looked to be around the same age 18. "Woah where are you going?" "Anywhere but here can you help me get away from them," "I don't know who your talking about but yeah I'll help you come on we'll talk as we're moving. So who are you?" "I'm Mary-Ellen Adams you?" "Adams? Oh I'm Wesley Crusher. Adams as in Admiral Callum Adams?" "I don't know who that is because I was stuck in a Klingon colony for nearly a decade so I'm a little how do you say it," "Out of touch of reality?" "Yeah I haven't spoken to another person in years," "So who are you hiding from?" "I don't know who they are only that they were dressed in blue, bright blue. They look exactly like the guards, they even tried to get to close I just ran I took my chance and ran." Wesley figured out that from the situation that she ran from the medical staff, no way would she go to them or let her near them.
The two walked to Wesley's quarters and talked about everything. She felt so safe around him like she could be herself that nothing could harm her. Meanwhile with the medical team, "Captain she ran," "What do you mean she ran?" "Mary-Ellen when we beamed her up we tried to give her medical help but she ran off and we can't find her," "Didn't you take a medical scan?" "No she ran before we could." While they were talking they hadn't noticed Wesley sneaking in behind them and swiping a box of medical supplies, well Data did. "Mary-Ellen it's me Wes," "Wes?" "Oh it's my nickname. You can't walk around with that cut on your leg," he explained pointing to the gash on her legs, "It's just gauge and antiseptic wipes," she was hesitant but allowed him to cover the cut. He knew he had to build her trust, he wasn't ever going to misuse her but he knew she had to trust him before anything else happened.
With time he convinced her to go for a shower and change her clothes, he lent her some clothes from his mum's youth. Nothing extravagant only a white t-shirt and black denim jeans. He only then noticed her sheer number of tattoos.
"You have more tattoos than most men on the ship," "Oh uh. Uh well tattoos are a status symbol it's all worth it. Guards leave you alone for the most part, that still doesn't spare you from it all," she raised her head and pushed aside her wet ginger hair.
Wesley was taken aback by her bruised and bloody face. He tried not to show his surprise but it was clear, "It's fine be scared, be spooked. I'm badly scarred and bruised I get that a lot," "Weirdo," "Thanks a lot," they laughed as they wandered the hallways. The two found them outside the holo deck, Wes got an idea and asked, "Have you ever been to a disco?" "No, what is a disco?" "Oh no honey follow me, computer play the disco hologram!" Her face lit up to the loud music and bright lights of the now disco holo deck, "This is gonna be amazing!" She yelled Wes had never seen a smile so big and bright. The disco became a roller skating race then a roller coaster then a trampoline court, a diving board was the height of a house into a soft blocks pit.
