The world works in mysterious ways. How the world worked was that you had your soulmates name on a part of your body and your soulmate would have your name in the exact same place. For Penelope Grace Brooklyn she had to have the worst of the worst, she had none other than James Tiberius Kirk written from the mid of her upper wrist to the base of her thumb on her left hand. The James T Kirk star fleet legend and an almost ten year gap. Penny was somewhat of a child prodigy, she'd graduated school at 14 and got her masters, PHD and doctorate in engineering by 15. She joined star fleet at the same age where she was quickly assigned to the USS Enterprise. One problem under James T Kirk.

She was younger than Chevok and she was a lieutenant at 16 and all! Then back to the issue of James T Kirk, he was 25! Jim recognised Penny but chose not to make a move after all the poor thing was only 16. They both wore elbow length fingerless gloves or jumpers with hands under or over there uniforms to hide it.

On her 18th birthday Urhura, Scotty, Chevok and Bones begged for Penny to show them who her soulmate is. "NO!" She yelled holding her hands to her chest, Jim was quiet in the corner but then decided to slip away to the bridge, "Please Penny we've waited to your 18," "Yes Penelope I have to admit I am very curious," Spock knocked his eyebrow to the group, "Penny why are you holding your, wait a minute it's on her wrist," Bones said putting to and to together, "All I'm saying is that you've known him longer than I have," "Well what does that mean. Unless," Chevok gasped. He glanced to the empty corner, Urhura followed his gaze to the place where Jim had been standing, "That most likely explains a lot, then again thats if I'm right," Penny slid her arms into her pocket thinking they got the wrong man.

Urhura winked to Bones as they launched for her wrists. They got ahold of her left wrist and pulled the glove off, "Oh my god," "Oh my word," "You've got to be joking!" "Well I'll be dammed!" There reactions were so natural it was funny, "James T Kirk," they read from her wrist over and over again. "Thats why he wheres the exact same thing as you," "Right then you bridge now!" Urhura yelled shoving Penny out the door and i to the turbo lift.

"Ah Penny happy birthday! Your 18 right?" "Yeah, the others know," "Know what?" "Don't play dumb with me. I'll show you mine if you show me yours," she drew her sleeve to show him his name. He hesitated in drawing his sleeve and removing his glove. With the two names side by side static ran through them, they both felt a small sharp burn on there wrists. "Look at yours," "Forget mine look at yours!" The two looked down to see a small infinity ♾ sign appear alongside a love ❤️ heart by the names.
