I stared at everyone who gazed back, waiting for deep context. My eyes fluttered, trying to keep my conscious intact so I wouldn't drift to the City of Light.

"What the hell happened?" Raven spoke on the radio. Bellamy answered it then handed it to me. "The City of Light is gone along with everyone's mind."

"That's because I happened," I said. Bellamy helped me up and I looked around the room with groaning people who were waking up from the chips. I stared at my father who fell into a fit of sobs and Abby tended to him.

"I'm sorry," he cried out. "I'm so sorry." I thought about replying rudely but I stepped back and went to the balcony. Lincoln and Octavia had bombed the elevator but there was a stairway. As I was going to leave, I was accompanied by the two.

"Yu bilaik heda," Lincoln said. "You'll need protection." "I can protect myself," I told him. "Besides, this won't last long. I'm the queen and chancellor."

They didn't back off as we went down and reached the city's ground. Dead bodies were lying around and people were weeping over them the same way my father had.

"Go help them," I said. I turned around when they rushed off to see Bellamy, Clarke, and a few others had come down. They came near as I clicked my radio, "Raven, is there such thing as overheating nuclear power plants?" "Sinclair here," he replied. "Let me check. It will take some time but I'll get back to you."

"You should probably get that stitched," Clarke told me, handing me a bandage. "We're going to need a Commander." "What about the power plants?" Bellamy questioned.

"It's the reason why ALIE created the City of Light. They withheld against the missiles but soon, the world will cover in fire again," I explained. I was talking to them for too long. "Haihefa!" Octavia shouted. My heart dropped for the possibilities he could still be alive and I rushed towards him.

"He's barely breathing," Octavia told me. I flipped over his body to see the gunshot wound didn't go through. "We'll have to take it out," Clarke said. "So do it," I stated.

"My queen," the royal guard, Echo's voice sounded. I stood, giving her a cold face. "We will take the king." I didn't respond as guards came to take his body. "Since there isn't a Commander, power falls onto Ice Nation."

"Who told you there wasn't a Commander?" I questioned. "You're the queen, you can't be one," Echo said. "But I'm still a nightblood," I told her. "Who holds the Flame. This fatal problem will result in a holy evening! There will be an ascension tonight!"

I looked at Echo's wide eyes after my announcement. "Let Abby help the king," I ordered and she was taken into the Azgedan side of Polis. I turned to where some of us had grouped in an overhead shelter.

"Why did you call for an ascension?" Indra questioned. "This is no conclave and no Flamekeeper." "There is a Flamekeeper," Lincoln concluded. "Gaia."

"Good," I said. "We'll need a Commander more than ever if what ALIE says is true about some kind of Praimfaya. All the clans will be waging war for survival, especially Azgeda. That's why I want to ascend." "Praimfaya," Indra muttered.

"Some ambassadors are dead and I will need new subjects," I began. I glanced at my father who was lucky that he was a bad shot. "Kane or Abby will be chancellor in my place. Octavia. You have been trained by the best wormana so it would be stupid to not ask you to be my war chief." "Of course," Octavia nodded and Kane agreed.

"Make sure Skaikru gets back to camp unless they want to stay for tonight," I said. "Ban au." They dispersed to continue cleaning around and I called back Clarke. She was stiff for a moment but when I relaxed, she did too.
