My head was on my father's shoulder as we took a walk through the woods, returning to the camp. Heads turned when we walked to the center and my dad released his hand and I glanced at him before climbing onto a table.

"I've decided to welcome Eligius into our clan because their leader is dead," I stated. "Nou Eligius nowe." I heard some grumbling throughout the clan. "Whoever disagrees with that notion, please come forth."

"We fought them just to have them join us?" someone asked. "Our people, your people, have been killed by them. Be Wanheda and slay the rest of them." "I don't think I will.

"We are all Wonkru. Or do you choose to be an enemy?" I raised my arms for the confused crowd to be dismissed, leaving some stragglers behind. I jumped off the table and stood in front of them, my hands behind my back, waiting for the questions to come.

"What happened?" Octavia asked. "They're going to replace the lives that have been lost," I answered simply. "I'm a conqueror, and I've just taken over another clan." I caught my father's stare. Bellamy was about to speak but I held my finger up and had Kane come with me to a shed.

"I thought you were going to tell them about your redemption or something?" he said. "And why would I do that?" I asked. "You see how they reacted when I didn't continue the war. They don't know anything other than kill. My job is to lead and I'll slowly turn them in the right direction. I can't just flip the switch on them, then there'll be chaos."

He took a deep breath and nodded, knowing I was right. "And... never tell anyone about what happened in the cave. They'll think I'm weak." "I won't." "Not even Abby," I stated. I drew the small knife from my pocket and slit my palm. "Oso tai choda op kom jus."

"You really want to make a blood oath?" he inquired. I kept my hand out, offering him the knife in which he grabbed. "Oso tai choda op kom jus," he said and we shook hands. When I let go, I wrapped my hand and added, "On your way out, bring in Roan." He pursed his lips and left the room.

I took off my shoulder plate and chip, so he could come to me as a lover, not a leader. I loosened up when the door swung open and the rogue man I had met many lifetimes ago had come in.

"You seem different," he spoke. "That's because I am... different," I responded. "There's something I need to tell you." His eyebrows raised, showing that he was listening. "Before Bellamy poisoned me the other day... the toxin was on his lips and-and I-" "You kissed him."

"Yes." "And you put me down in the pits for your own satisfaction?" he inquired. "So that I would kill him and you wouldn't have to deal with him anymore?" "Yes," I admitted. He sighed, taking a seat, and rubbed his face, sighing again.

"And how do you feel about that?" he asked. "Because if you don't feel anything towards him, I'm fine with that, but if you do..." "Thank you so much for everything, Roan," I immediately said. "I choose not to lie to you."

He abruptly stood, not wanting to continue the conversation and I could see the pain in his eyes. I had never intended to hurt him. "I think both of our excuses were that we were never married," he lastly said. Before he could walk out, Raven barged in with Shaw right behind.

"Shit's about to happen," she blurted. My face went cold and I grabbed my things, putting them on as I ran after her and into the dropship. There, she and Shaw showed me a screen of the released missiles that were coming from the Eligius ship.

"This entire spot is going to blow," Shaw said. "And bye-bye Eden," Raven commented. "So stop it," I ordered. "We can't," Shaw said. "Once the destination is fixed, it won't stop." "Sound a siren and get everyone on board."
