Becca

Murphy had broken open a locked door and we walked in to find a school-like setting inside the shipping container. I looked around and paused, seeing a wall full of pictures.

"You sent families?" Clarke questioned. "They signed up," I told her. "With Russell Lightbourne leading the expedition." "Earlier, you said, they weren't supposed to go here. What planet were they supposed to travel to?" "Beta," I answered. "But bigger is better. Their job was to scout the lands, take tests, report back so we knew if it was survivable for the human race. A new sanctuary."

"Was this before ALIE?" Murphy asked and I nodded. "Then the infinity sign, your logo, represents you. Another civilization that prays to Becca Praimheda." I forced myself to ignore him and I stepped forward, looking at the photos that brought memories. The group then left the room, leaving me alone. "I'm sorry," I whispered, even though they were long gone.

I lowered my head and turned. Just as I was about to leave the room, my eyes caught a book that was written by Russell's daughter, Josephine. I fell into the temptations of touching it and grabbed it, opening the first page. Of course, it was a children's book and I read the one to two sentences of the story of the moon we were on; Sanctum. The book talked about the red sun and its toxic effect on people and so, they had to go into hiding. I put the pieces together and I stepped out to see the eclipsing sun and the empty yard.

"We've been affected!" I cried out, running towards the group. Murphy and Emori were dancing at the entrance of the palace when I reached the others. "The sun is toxic and we've been exposed to it."

"Are we going to die?" Roan asked. "I don't know. But the book says we'll go mad," I explained. "No wonder I've seen chains around," Clarke commented. "Maybe it's for the people that don't make it into hiding on time."

"The ship," Miller pointed out. "No!" I yelled. "Shit," Bellamy cursed. "We can't even get off this moon when we're about to combust."

"Murphy!" Emori yelled, crazily. She screamed and grabbed a knife, going towards Murphy. "I'm going to kill you!" We started running up the staircase to reach them and Echo pulled her off, keeping her in a lock so Jackson could safely sedate her. Murphy hadn't been stabbed but sliced in the arm which Clarke wrapped to stop the bleeding.

"It's begun," I told them. Echo and Roan dragged Emori's body into a container and tied her to shackles. "We should chain everyone up." I didn't hear anyone say anything and Bellamy grabbed my wrist and turned me around. "What?"

"We think it's best for you and the rest of us that you get chained... securely," he said. "Oh," I exhaled. "I understand." "Luisa could come back at any moment, deranged. Or possibly, another commander." "You're talking about Sheidheda," I said and he nodded. "Okay, then."

Bellamy led me into a separate room and I sat down on the floor so he could buckle the shackles around my wrists. He made sure they were extra tight and it made me remember when I was chained to a pipeline. I watched as he made sure that I was comfortable and I lied by nodding. He stood and walked out of the room, bolting the door shut.

I heard chatter on the other side of the wall, their footsteps under the floorboard, and everything fell into an alignment of insanity. I was hyperfocused on the movement and everything else seemed fake. Once they left, I felt the need to get up and chase after them with a sword and drive it into their chest. I knew that I couldn't do it, but I could access someone who could.
