At the concert
Leo and I got in and there were people everywhere.
(A/n: obviously this wouldn't be okay now today because of the cOrOnA viRuS but we're gonna act like that doesn't exist lmao)
My anxiety levels enhanced. Large masses of people were not my thing. I'm not sure why I left Leo talk me into coming.
Leo could see the nerves on my face and he took my hand. Which helped a lot.
He pushed our way through the crowd until we were near the front of the stage. He continued to look at me often to make sure I was okay and kept his grip on my hand tight. He was very protective.
Once the music started, the mood lifted a ton. Leo and I spent the entire time dancing together and screaming to the songs being played.
His smile was the most radiant thing in the entire stadium. It was genuinely contagious. I hadn't felt so alive before in my life. It was good to get a break from my mind.
After the concert Leo and I went to Alyse's house. Mrs. Allbrite said it was all right. She thought Leo was a "nice young man". Mr. Allbrite knew I was staying he just hadn't seen me since I started staying with Alyse. He was always on these long business trips for a big company he worked for.
I knock on Alyse's door to make sure she was decent before we walked in.
"Come in." Alyse looked at us smiling as we walked into the room.
"How'd it go today? With Jackson." I sat next to her on the bed and Leo sat at her make up stand.
"He actually talked to me." She sounded really excited and I smiled because of this. "But, I realized that if he only wants to be around me for the things I'm not, which is all this, he doesn't actually like me for me." She didn't lose her smile though, make no mistake.
"That's a very good thing to realize." I leaned back against the head board of her bed.
"Do you guys wanna watch a movie?" She looked at me and than Leo.
"Sure." Leo smiled at me.
The lights were out and the only light in the room came from the tv on Alyse's wall. Leo and I were on the floor watching the movie from the mattress I called my bed and Alyse on her bed.
Leo had his arm around my waste and my back was against his chest.
I didn't realize but Leo had fallen asleep. His head was lying in the crook of my neck.
Soft little snores exited the small part in his lips. He was so precious. It was obvious that I liked leo but, of course, I wasn't going to admit this to a single soul. I was too scared to.
Alyse looked at us and raised her eyebrows up and down. I rolled my eyes at her.
It was around 8 o'clock when the movie was over and Leo was still fast asleep. So was Alyse. Mrs. Allbrite opened the door slowly, peaking in. I looked over at her and smiled.
"Hi, sweetie." She smiled, "is your friend staying over?"
"I'm not really sure. Would that be okay with you?" I looked over at Leo who was still peacefully asleep with an arm around me.
"Of course. Alyse is in here so, I'm sure it'll be alright." She went to leave.
"Thank you, Mrs. Allbrite."
"Please, honey, call me mom." She closed the door quietly. I could hear foot steps going down the steps as that statement brought tears to my eyes. I wasn't sure why she cared so much but, it meant the world to me.
Morning
I was up half the night thinking about where my life was at. And, honestly, what I should do about my Leo situation.

Mom (Mrs. Allbrite) had me ask Leo to stop by for dinner. She really enjoyed his presence and I think she too could see the positive impact he really took on me.
I was staring at Leo from across the table. He was gorgeous.

He noticed me staring and glanced over at me

He noticed me staring and glanced over at me. I smiled, looking down at my plate. Leo and I were still on a friend basis. We'd held hands and cuddled once in a while but I never really left that get to my head.
I wasn't going to allow myself to get hurt. After dinner, Leo and I walked to his house. On our way, we passed my old house and I felt a chill come over my entire body as I stared.
"What a dump." Leo laughed, still not aware that the house we were looking at, as we were walking, was where I'd once experienced my worst nightmares.
"Yeah." I mumbled and focused straight ahead.
We got to Leos place. Leo went to the kitchen opening the fridge and grabbing a bottle of water.
"Want one?" He held a water out at me.
I shook my head no as I stared at the bottle of alcohol placed on the center of the kitchen table. Leo looked in the direction my eyes were pointed.
"Would you like some of that shit? I can get you a glass." He closed the fridge.
I shook my head no again.
"Do you drink?" I looked him in the eyes.
His complexion appeared as though he was confused.
"No, my parents do occasionally."
I nodded. "Lets, uh, let's go upstairs." I made my way to the steps.
Leo followed and we went up to his bedroom.
He closed the door behind him and walked over to his bed, taking a seat.
"What was all of that about?"
I turned my attention to Leo who was already looking at me.
"What was what about?" I acted like I didn't know what he was talking about.
"You've been acting strange." He looked worried.
"I think I should go home." I said hastily and went for the door.
"Y/n, talk to me." Leo got up and was now close to me.
"I just need to go home, Leo. I mean it." The thoughts of everything that's happened flashed in my mind. A panic attack at its worst.
I left Leos home in a hurry.

For the last few days, I avoided confrontation with Leo. I knew he was going to want to talk about the situation and I couldn't.
His view on me would change completely. He tried talking to me almost everyday and I continued to ignore him. It hurt to do so. I just couldn't face the conversation I knew was needed to be had.
I was sitting at the basket ball court. The place I first fell for Leo and his boyish smile.
I felt the spot next to me fill in and I didn't look over nor pay attention.
"Hey." I heard a familiar voice from beside me.
I looked over to see my mom. Not Mrs. Allbrite.
