"I can't believe this is it," I sighed as we made it to the airport. "Back to being separated and going our different ways,"
"I'll be back before you know it, Barzy," She smiled. "Your first game has to be soon, right?"
"Possibly," I said.
"I wouldn't miss that for the world," She kissed my cheek.
I sighed but I smiled when I looked at Bela's face again.
"Do you have to go?" I asked.
"It's only another year," She told me. "Then I'll move to Long Island to be with you,"
"Promise?" I asked.
"Promise," She confirmed.
"Damn, I love you so much," I smiled.
"I love you too, Maty," She said.
An announcement came on for Bela's boarding call.
"That's my flight," She said.
"Alright," I sighed.
I kissed her soft lips before she smiled and left. She waved before she left my sight and I waved back. I stood there for a minute, then went back to my car. I turned up the radio to a Biebs song. I got back to my apartment and opened the door to see Ethan screaming.
"What the hell?" I asked, shutting the door behind me.
"Happy dinner," Shreya awkwardly smiled, running cold water under Ethan's hand.
"We didn't burn the house down," Ethan smiled.
"Yeah, it looks like you burned your hand instead," I said. "What the hell happened?"
"We were cooking and Shreya got all mad at me for putting too much salt and pepper on the stupid chicken," Ethan said.
"Because I had a reason to," Shreya said to Ethan. "You put way too much,"
"What happened to Ethan's hand?" I asked.
"I was making rice and I didn't know that the stupid pan would get so fucking hot," Ethan said.
"I warned him," Shreya said.
"And you trusted him to handle the rice?" I asked Shreya.
"It was rice!" She said. "I didn't know that he would burn his hand,"
"Are you okay Ethan?" I asked him.
"I'll be fine," He said.
"So..." I said. "Where's the food?"
"The chicken is still in the oven and the rice is still cooking," Shreya said.
"I was gone for like an hour, what the hell were you guys doing?" I asked.
"We had a rough time," Ethan said.
"Cooking," Shreya said.
"It was kinda hard since we didn't know where anything was," Ethan said.
"For cooking," Shreya said.
"What is up with you guys?" I asked.
"Nothing," They both said.
"Did you guys..." I figured that they did something R rated.
"Eww, god no," Shreya said.
"Why? Would it be so bad?" Ethan asked her.
"Oh shut up," She softly smacked his shoulder.
"We opened the stupid closet," She said.
"The closet?" I asked. "You didn't find the-"
"The Bieber shirt?" Ethan asked. "Hell yeah we did,"
Shreya and Ethan laughed.
"Hey, I never made fun of your British Boyband obsession," I told Ethan.
"Not just any Boy Band, One Direction," Ethan made clear.
"You like One Direction?" Shreya asked Ethan, laughing.
"Hey!" Ethan said to Shreya. "You like Harry Potter,"
"And that I'm not ashamed of," Shreya smiled. "But you guys have obsessions with One Direction and Justin Bieber,"
Ethan and I kept silent.
"Whatever," Ethan said, shaking his head.
Shreya pulled the chicken out of the oven and turned off the stove when the rice was done. We sat down at my newly delivered dining table and ate the food. I reached for a napkin just in case I needed to spit anything out. I was surprised at how good it actually tasted.
"Hey, it's not too bad," Shreya realized, taking a bite of her food.
"It's actually pretty good," I said. "Thanks,"
Ethan could barely pick up the fork in his right hand where he got the burn. He had to use his left hand to both cut the chicken and eat it.
"Oh, fuck being fancy," He said, taking the chicken with his hands.
Shreya and I barely cared as we finished eating our food.
