This is a short one, but I hope you like it!
Also, just look at Grayson. Oml he's so fluffin cute when he's asleep! 😍

(Y/N)'s POV:

I hear a giggle, followed by the sound of little footsteps thumping on the floor. Then came the sound of Grayson's voice, calling after the footsteps.

It had been like this all morning—Grayson running around after our two kids, Oscar and Olivia.

Recently, Grayson had promised me he would take care of the kids and had insisted that I relax myself. On account of my body carrying another child, I had to reluctantly agree.

I know Gray is just trying to be a good husband but I'm a little more familiar with the antics the kids like to pull.

I really didn't mind it. Taking care of Grayson's children on a daily basis, while also bearing a third little munchkin. I guess motherhood does that to you.

But since Grayson had demanded that I rest and look after myself and the baby, I didn't have much to do besides lounge around and catch up on my reading.

And that's exactly what I'm doing right now. I lay a hand on my stomach, my nose buried in the warm pages of a book. I would occasionally hear the squealing of our little girl, probably because her brother and her did something particularly mischevious.

They love playing with their dad, and Grayson couldn't be happier to oblige. But even the big fuzzy papa bear needs a time out sometimes. I look up from my book at the sound of a groan entering the drawing room.

Grayson stands there, his shoulders slouched and his eyes drooping. I bite my lip, holding back a giggle. He makes his way over to me from across the room, his feet dragging on the floor.

Upon reaching me, he collapses on the couch, laying flat on his stomach. He rests head on my lap, his deep hazel orbs fluttering close as he sighs. "How do you do this every day?"

I giggle, putting the book aside. My fingers play with his rumpled chocolate hair that has grown out quite a bit over the last year. In come the two mini Grayson's, laughing and cheering about something. Liv's pigtails flop about as she skips over to me, her brother on her tail.

"Daddy play!" the three-year-old exclaims, tapping her father's shoulder.

"Daddy, come!" her brother says, older than her by a year.

"Shh, daddy's tired, babies," I say softly, picking Liv's hand out of Grayson's hair.

At the exact moment, Grayson's light snores emit from his parted lips, indicating that he has, indeed, fallen asleep. Poor baby. The kids must have really tired him out for him to just collapse like that.

"Daddy no play?" Olivia whined, her little finger poking his cheek.

I envelope her tiny hand in mine, preventing her from doing so. "Daddy is sleeping, sweetheart. He's too tired to play right now," I explain.

Olivia scratches the back of her head, the two siblings staring at me with wide hazel eyes, just like Grayson's.

"He'll play with you when he wakes up, alright?" I tell him, cupping Oscar's cheek as my eyes switch between my two children.

"Okay, momma," my boy says, lifting himself on his tip-toes to give my stomach a hug.

My heart melts as he leans his ear to my gradually growing tummy, silently listening. "Baby play?" Oscar asks after a moment of deafening silence.

I brush his (H/C) hair with my fingers, replying, "Yes, love. The baby will play with you when it's here."

Olivia claps her hands at this, before Oscar returns to her side, tugging her arm. "Hey, now, you two," I call out before they could run away. "Go to your room, okay? Momma will give you cookies if you behave."

The two freeze, exchanging glances. "Okay, momma. We go," Oscar says, and leads his sister to their room. My ears perk up at the sound of the door closing. At least momma bear has got things under control.

I reach for my book beside me, my fingers gently stroking and playing with Grayson's hair as I finish up the remaining chapter, knowing very well that I'd have to get up soon. Before the mini Grayson's make their attack.
