"Jean! The baby is crying again!" Pieck shouted.

"Ah goddammit c'mere" Jean said walking downstairs to take care of the baby. "Hush hush little Marco it's alright." Jean said quietly. "God what time is it?"

"It's like 6am," Pieck said sleepily.

"Well I guess we'll be visiting Connie on time today."

"God why do we have to live so far away from him?" Pieck complained.

"Because I've always wanted a nice quiet life in the inner districts. I'd say walls but they're all gone now. Ragako is just in the Maria prefecture. Now get out of bed and help me get Marco dressed."

"Well at least our baby's cute, no matter how bad things might be that's always an upside" Pieck said, taking Marco out of Jean's hands.

"Well I'm cute too!" Jean said playfully as he got ready for the day ahead of them.

"Yes. Yes you are. But Marco is cuter." Pieck chuckled as she rubbed her nose against the baby's. Jean rolled his eyes out of jealousy.

"Alright! Baby's set and ready to go!" Pieck said putting a tiny little coat on the baby. Jean had put on a hat and suit and took Marco to the apartment's kitchen while Pieck got dressed herself.

"Okay baby Mark, you get to have mommy's food while daddy eats stuff like this" Jean said taking a piece of bread out of a cabinet and tearing through it like a monster. The baby giggled.

"Nom, nom, nom, nom!" Jean said. "This bread is pretty stale Mark, I think I'll put on some butter."

Right as Jean was about to take a bite out of the slathered piece of bread, Pieck walked out of her bedroom and chomped right through it.

"Hey! That was mine!"

"Sharing is caring, isn't that right little Marco?" Pieck said with her mouth full, taking the baby from Jean's arms.

"Alright then I suppose we'll be headed towards the train station now." Jean said putting on his coat and getting the key to lock the door.

"I suppose we will." Pieck said taking a hat and coat off the hanger by the door before leaving. The couple and baby left and locked the apartment and headed towards the train station early in the morning.

"I hear Reiner, the kids, and Levi are back in town." Pieck mentioned.

"The kids? They're about 16 and getting married now right? I wouldn't call them kids anymore. Honestly I wouldn't say they ever were."

"Well they grew up the same way I did. They enlisted as Warriors for different reasons but, still we were all never really kids. How old were you when you joined the Survey Corps?"

"Well I was 15 when I joined but I was 12 when I started training. Before that I grew up as a normal kid. A spoiled brat who wanted a quiet life inside the inner walls working for the royal family. Funny how I got just that anyways."

"Yeah... it is quite funny." Pieck said softly as they arrived at the station. The couple bought their tickets and seats and hopped on the train. Near them, they saw two familiar faces.

"Reiner? Annie!" Jean exclaimed as him, the baby, and Pieck took their seats. "Haven't seen you two in a minute. Wait, Reiner you haven't even met baby... Marco yet..."

"Marco?" Reiner said tilting his head softly.

"Pieck! Bring the baby over here!" Jean shouted. "The train shouldn't depart just yet so you have time."

"Reiner it's good to see you, same with you Annie" Pieck said handing the baby over to Reiner.

"Oh my I didn't ask to hold hi-"
