The capital of Eldia, Mitras. The night of the Marleyan ships' arrival.

Armin had taken a separate highly guarded train to the capital, as very important classified information regarding the developing countries and other ambassadors was to be discussed. So far, Jean, Pieck, Reiner, and Connie had all retired from their duty as ambassadors to live quiet lives. The only originals being Annie and Armin. Mikasa now is an ambassador for the reestablishing country Hizuru. While denying her heritage as princess for the country, she's agreed to be a bond between Eldia, Marley, and Hizuru. Hizuru was classified as the most underdeveloped country due to the war. However, a few refugees and several immigrants have helped increase the population and continue the lost technical advances. However, it is still considered a third world country. Eldia being the strongest and only first world, has given it's aid to Hizuru during the aftermath of the war. The remaining ambassadors are now reuniting at Eldia's capital to discuss the relations between each country.

"Ambassador Arlert. I see Ambassador Leonhart is not with you." One of the guards said, greeting Armin.
"Her attendance was not mandatory so she stayed to help tour the Marleyans. Mikasa is already here though right?"

"Yes of course. Right this way sir." The guard said gesturing towards a different compartment of the train. Armin followed and saw Mikasa in a pink and black flowered kimono, and a flower pin was in her now long hair. She was sitting in a seat that had another across from it, along with a table in the middle.

"It's been awhile, Mikasa." Armin said smiling, then taking the seat in front of her.

"Armin. I'm glad I could see you." Mikasa said, returning the smile. The two sat in an awkward silence for a moment.

"So... I know we've written letters to one another and we'll talk about it more later... but how are things in Hizuru?" Armin mentioned.

"Different from Eldia... the population isn't even half of what it used to be yet but it's getting somewhere. In just four years we've managed to rebuild a lot of what was lost in the war. After seeing Eldia grow so much I figured it was time to try and move on with my life and see my mother's culture. The traditions and food are very different from what we're both used to. They eat raw fish! I thought Marleyan food was odd but... this is a different story. It still tasted very good. I got to know Kiyomi better and they welcomed me with open arms. She's still the country's figurehead, along with the rest of the Azumabito clan. However the political situation is much too complicated for me to care. I'm just here to lend an ear and say a few things." Mikasa replied, sipping the tea a stewardess had brought them both.

"I see... I heard you also issued Levi a new pair of legs?" Armin said, also sipping his tea.

"The Hizuru are very technologically advanced, I was the one who requested it. I figured Levi would miss walking after so long..." Mikasa said as her head drifted towards the window.

"I miss him too..." Armin said, taking another sip of his tea.

"The only reason why I've done this is to try and move on. I haven't lived a lot of my life and I wanted a change... I want to visit him." Mikasa said sternly.

"Well, when this is all over, I'd love to come with you" Armin assured. Mikasa looked away from the window and smiled at Armin again. This time, there was just silence and a mute understanding between the two.

Sometime later, the train had finally stopped at a secure station and the two were escorted off and entered Queen Historia's castle.

"I don't remember this place being so big..." Mikasa drifted.

"It took me a while to get the hang of navigating, it seemed like a maze at first" Armin chuckled. "But I thank the escorts for helping me all the time." He smiled. The guards subtly snickered as their egos were tended to.
