I knocked Luka down, he shot his gun, but missed. The bullet went elsewhere but I pinned him to the ground.
"I knew Marco too. Marco was a brother to me too. You know this, I thought you'd died so long ago but you're all grown up now." My voice was shaking, trembling. God he looked just like Marco did. You'd think they were twins.
Reiner still sat in disbelief he wasn't dead again. This has happened one too many times.
"Reiner's paid for his mistakes, and deserves no more pain! Reiner and I have fought alongside each other for almost as long as I'd known your brother now! You killed the king! And how many other people have you killed too!? Your brother... Marco would've never wanted this!"
I was screaming at him now. My emotions from seeing Marco's half eaten body began to stir up again. The fact that so many of these children had to witness death the way that I had due to the selfish mistakes of this KID!
"Reiner... he is a hero. He may not be one to your story... but he is one for so many others." I whimpered over the boy. "You could've been better than this."
My speech allowed for enough time for backup to arrive, and shortly extra royal guards surrounded us and escorted the guests out of the perimeter. I got up from on top of Luka, as he lay on the floor.
"Ambassador Jean!" One of the guards shouted, with a body, with Pieck in his hands. "The lost bullet... it struck... Pieck." He said under his breath.
