Armin and Annie stand by Eldia's ports waiting for the ship carrying Reiner, Gabi, Levi, Falco, and other native Marleyan passengers.

"Can't believe it's only been a year since I've seen any of them. Feels like a century." Annie says looking at the ocean and the ship soon to be arriving.

"Yeah I feel the same way too. I'm surprised I was able to make enough time to greet them but as soon as they get situated I have to head back to Mitras for some paperwork and other things I can't talk about here." Armin replies.

"Well I guess I'll be the one touring them then."

"I guess so."

The couple looked out to the ocean as the boat became closer and closer. The sun was starting to set as the boat finally arrived. The ship docked as people came off.

"Reiner!" Armin shouted from afar. The man had a bag with him as he waved back at Armin. Gabi, Falco, and Levi followed him.

"You guys look tired" Annie said cheerfully as she greeted Falco and Gabi. "I hear you both are getting married."

"That we are!" Falco said enthusiastically. Gabi nodded in agreement.

"You look well Levi" Annie commented as Levi glared at her. Reiner gave her a small wave as she walked up to him.

"You've gotten fat." She said.

"This is muscle not fat" Reiner corrected.

"C'mere you fat old man" Annie said hugging Reiner.

"I am so very glad you all could make it." Armin said, interrupting the friends' reunion. "Unfortunately I can't stay for long because the capital is requesting my presence at the moment, but Annie will be accompanying you on the train to the Stohess district while I take the one to Mitras." Armin walked over to Levi.

"Thank you for coming. It'll mean a lot to Historia." Levi didn't respond.

"Okay you all take your belongings and follow me to the station" Annie said walking away from Eldia's ports. The train station was large and the tracks went on for miles. The train had already been waiting for the five beforehand. "Alrighty everybody on." Falco and Gabi helped carry Levi out of his chair and then carried him to a seat on the train folding his chair up. Levi got an entire seat to himself and tea the stewards had made for him. Gabi and Falco sat next to each other while Reiner and Annie had seats with each other as well.

"There's a place I'd like to show you, I feel like you need to see it." Annie said to Reiner.

"What is it?" Reiner asked.

"You'll see when we get there. We can go tonight or in the morning."

"I think I'd prefer the latter. I'm much too tired to do anything involving a lot of walking."

"That's reasonable. I hear you live alone now, in the forest like some kind of hermit."

"Well, I have a dog."

Annie stared at him for a minute. "Oh. You're serious." Reiner titled his head out of confusion. Annie started laughing.

"Oh my, being away from all those people for so long must've made you forget how to talk to them!" Annie chuckled. Reiner still didn't understand the joke but didn't comment on it to avoid being made fun of.

"Y'know what. I think I'm going to sit alone." Reiner pouted getting up.

"Aww don't g-" Annie was interrupted by Reiner having left his seat already. "He really is an antisocial hermit." She mumbled turning away.
