"I'm so excited to finally meet Javaria's husband!" Sabha exclaimed while fixing up her makeup, I chuckled at that and said "Careful Sabha, don't forget he's someone soon to be husband." Sabha laughed at me putting her blush down "Don't worry Rayyana, I would never go for a married man like that."

I watched as Sabha sneakily put her blush in my drawer "Sabha, no." Sabha sighed and took her blush putting it in her purse.

I had never liked makeup, ever since I found out what makeup was I had hated it. Why do I have to put something on my face to cover myself up? Am I not pretty enough?

I fixed my dupatta and looked at my yellow dress.

My aunt had gave me this dress saying that Javaria didn't need it anymore so I could have it

My aunt had gave me this dress saying that Javaria didn't need it anymore so I could have it. I altered it myself (after taking some classes) and I ended up with this. I was proud of myself for it though and was super confident in it.

Me and the girls headed downstairs, I held my glasses with one hand because they were getting kind of loose and they fell a lot. (Also, don't worry this is the last function at my house) Today was Javaria's Mehndi. The mehndi can be celebrated 2 ways, there is our way in which the groom comes over to our house for the Mehndi. What we do is that we take mehndi and we put it on a patha, then we put the mehndi on the bride's hands and we take money and circle it around the bride and groom's heads putting it into a bowl. Then, we take that money and we give it to people in need. We are doing it one day with only the groom coming to our house.

The 2nd way is the groom comes over to our house one day and the very next day the bride goes to the grooms house and does the same thing. Javaria said she wanted to do it simple and just at our house instead of going to there house.

Me and the girls looked at Javaria in her stunning green dress

When you are at a Mehndi function, the most common color's you will see are green, yellow, and orange. We looked at Aabid sitting next to Javaria looking clean shaven and smiling hard. And for the first time, Javaria wasn't acting like a bitch and instead looked...Innocent.

Well almost looked innocent, Roofa and Alayna didn't look good behind Javaria but hey, they were the maid's of honor.

One by one everyone did the money thing and then finally it was my turn. This was the second time I would be doing this, the first time was overwhelming because everyone had there phone's out and they were recording me as I looked around and asked everyone what to do.

This time however I did it with ease. I smiled as everyone cheered and then we all went to the dhol drum and started singing again.

After a few minutes I felt thirsty so I headed to the kitchen for a glass of water, that was until I stopped when I heard shouting and a familiar name.

Asad Qureshi's POV

I groaned as I pressed the snooze button for the 5th time, yesterday's match had tired me out and I was more then ready to sleep the whole day. Come to think of it, who set an alarm for me? I didn't. Suddenly, I jolted upright to see 20 missed calls from my mom.

I silently prayed Ya ALLAH please let me live to see another day.

With shaking hands I called my mom back and before I could say my salam I heard "ASAD QURESHI!" I pulled the phone away from my ear

"Assalam-O-Alaikum mom." I could sense her anger through the phone "Assalam-O-Alaikum ke bache, WHERE ARE YOU? THE MEHNDI STARTED 20 MINUTES AGO!" I gulped suddenly remembering why I had set my alarm.

"Mom, I'm tired can't I come to the Bharat?" I layed back down in my bed feeling tired "No Asad, what kind of a cousin are you? Everyone is wondering why you aren't there. Your father want's too see you."

I scoffed, I hated weddings because every aunty came to me and asked me for there daughter's hand in marriage. "Of course they are, why isn't the famous cousin coming? am I right?" I took the silence on the other end as a yes.

I sighed and said "I have a match today."

"Mr. Qureshi, we both know there is no match today." I groaned suddenly getting angry "Mom, I'm not coming."

"ASAD IF YOU DO- Oh sorry Rayyana, I was just yelling at my fool of a son." I got up "Who is that?"

"Rayyana." My mom said suspiciously.

"Ma, I'm coming okay?" And then I hung up the phone and ran into the shower.

Rayyana Arshad's POV

"Sorry aunty I was just here for a glass of water." Aunty smiled at me and said "No worry's." and then walked off. I stared at her retreating back as I grabbed a glass and filled it with water.

Did I hear her right?

"Guys, I swear I heard his name." I said panicking the girls all looked at me "Rayyana, we are talking about ASAD QURASHI why would he come to a wedding like this?" Soojin said pointing around. She had a point, we are just normal people and there is a high chance that there could be another guy with the same name.

I sighed and sat down eating my jalebi that my uncle had told the chef to make for me. Suddenly, we all heard gasps and the dhol drum stopped. I was too busy savoring my Jalebi to notice however.

"Rayyana." someone whispered to me harshly, but I couldn't hear them too busy munching on my sweet delicious- "Rayyana."

My sweet delicious Rayyana? That didn't sound good. I looked over to my right and thank ALLAH I didn't start choking.

Because standing there, in a black kurta with his sleeves rolled up and a silver chain was the legend himself.

Asad Qureshi.
