I was speechless

Where did this come from? I awkwardly patted his back "What do you mean?" I needed to know what was going on, this guy was messing with me and I don't know if he liked me or if he was just using me.

He was about to say something when we heard the doorbell, Asad jumped away from me and scowled at me while opening the door. "He- Oh, Assalam-o-Alaikum Bhabhi." I looked at the strange man as he came in front of me with a huge smile.

I smiled back "Walaikum Assalam." He started to take his hand out but quickly took it back when he remembered that I can't shake his hand.

"So you are Rayyana?" He said looking at Asad with a sly smirk, Asad grumbled and walked into his kitchen. I sighed realizing that the moment between us never happened and I had to let it go.

"Yes, and you are?" He facepalmed himself "How could I forget? my name is Amir." that's funny Asad, Amir, and Aabid. These people love the letter A.

I found myself chuckling and then I looked over to see Asad there with a glass of water glaring at us "Rayyana was just leaving." He said angrily for some reason.

Amir looked over at him and frowned at his knuckles "What happened to your knuckles?" He made a move to grab them but Asad quickly pulled back.

"Nothing." he mumbled taking a sip of his drink "We were at a carnival and some guys were harrasing me and my friends." I explained to Amir who immediately turned over to me "You and your friends?" He seemed a little concerned on the friends part more then me.

"Yeah my friends Rabia, Soojin, and Sabha." His eyes perked up a little at Sabha's name but I just shrugged it off. I looked over at Asad who was staring at Amir quizzically. "Why didn't you call me?!" I was frightened by how defensive Amir got suddenly.

"Why would I call you? I had everything under control." Asad didn't sound too happy himself "Because..." Amir trailed off and sighed frustratingly ruffling his hair. Me and Asad stood there staring at his strange behavior.

"Anyway, Rayyana was leaving." Asad said clearing his throat to get my attention. God, a "thank you Rayyana." wouldn't have hurt. I grabbed my purse and stood at the door Asad raised an eyebrow at me "Aren't you going to take me home?" I had left my car back at my aunt's house.

"No." Asad said simply, great back to square one! I slammed his door behind and grumbled all the way down his building.

Asad Qureshi's POV

What was I saying?

She was doing nothing on me, absolutely fucking nothing. I was extremely tired and that little scene at the carnival reminded me of Sarah... no Rayyana wasn't anything like her.

I shook my head and was about to tell her that I meant nothing, and that we were only a business deal. But then my doorbell rang, I removed all emotions from my face and walked to my door calmly.

"Hel- oh Assalam-O-Alaikum Bhabhi." Amir said smiling at Rayyana behind me. Something about the way they started talking so casually bugged me and what bugged me even more was Amir's smirk towards me.

I grumbled at that and walked into my kitchen to grab some water, without my knowledge though I started listening to there conversation.

"Oh how could I forget? My name is Amir!" and then I heard a little chuckle. I knew Rayyana's personality and I knew that she would befriend Amir and something about that bugged me. I walked out of my kitchen quickly "Rayyana was just leaving." I said.
