'Frank – fuck –' Gerard moaned in the crook of his neck, accompanied by the most delicious sounds. And Frank thrusted a couple more times before coming inside him.'This is the best way to start the day off,' he whispered as they were both shaking from their orgasms. The older man smiled, cuddling closer to him. 'I don't think I want to go to work.'
'Then, don't go. Stay with me.'
'Ugh – I wish. But I can't. I have to prove my dad I can be a responsible adult.'
'I know,' Gerard said with a smile, staring into his hazel eyes. He still wasn't sure if it was the best idea to fall this hard for his first boyfriend. Or if they should be together after everything that happened, and Frank being so vulnerable. But he was the last person to judge.
He had just as many issues, if not more. He just hadn't shown that side to Frank, and he hoped that Frank would never get a chance to see it. He was better, after all. Or at least, he could hide it well. He hadn't had any breakdowns in a while, as long as he was with Frank, his heart was full, and all he could feel was love. He still couldn't understand how he was so lucky to find someone like Frank and managed to be with him.
'What are you thinking about?' he asked, as if he could read Gerard's mind.
'Nothing.'
Frank just smiled knowing he was lying, but he wouldn't push it. Instead, he was busy kissing his shoulder with such gentleness that made him shiver. He went down leaving kisses all over his skin, his chest, his stomach, his arms. He focused on the almost invisible scars on the inside of his forearm. Frank didn't have to ask to know what they were. So he kissed them to remind Gerard that he was loved, and that he didn't have to do it again. Frank would make sure to make him feel happy and safe.
And without the need for any words, Gerard knew what he was doing. And he really hoped it worked. 'I love you,' he whispered, and then kissed him. they stayed like that a little longer, running their hands down each other's backs and comforting each other, before getting up to make coffee and take Dracula outside.

'So you guys already moved in together?' Jamia asked while they got ready to open the bar.
'What? No!' Gerard replied setting the tray of shots under the counter. 'We only got back together a couple weeks ago! We're taking it slow –'
'From what Frank told me – you haven't been going too slow.'
'Wait – What did he say?!' His expression went from joy to pure fear in a second.
And his friend couldn't help but laugh her head off. 'Dear God, no! He just told me you got him a puppy. That sounds serious.'
'Well – we're serious.'
'And now I wanna know what you've been doing.'
Gerard felt himself blushing, and his smile grew bigger just thinking about it. 'I can't exactly tell you right now.'
Jamia gasped and pretended to be shocked at what he said. 'Did he finally take your –'
'Shut up! What year is it? The 1950's?' But he had to laugh, because in a way he felt he had given Frank everything. His insecurities, his flaws, all the years where he felt hopeless waiting for someone to love him.
'I'm just glad you two have each other.'
He stayed quiet for a second, counting the drawer. 'You think I'm going too fast? Falling in love with him? And getting in too deep?'
