THE LIGHT BREEZE RAN THROUGH y/n's curls, her head hanging low as she looked down. Cars from below ran back and forth, pedestrians scattered, the countless different hues of lights from below projecting onto her skin.
She inhaled, then exhaled, feeling the stale night air fill her lungs. She felt tired, a little blue, but that was surely the effects of the college life kicking in.
When she started studying for finals, it felt like the events were so soon, but now, they couldn't come quicker. She just wanted to relax— to finally have some time to herself.
Coming out to the balcony might've been the beat thing she could've done for herself. Though, now she just felt a little troubled and just a bit empty.
Sighing, the girl turned her back to the railing, leaning her back against it and closing her eyes. She felt the wind breeze up her neck and flow through her shirt. She felt her eyes getting heavy. She felt burnt out, exhausted, even.
It seemed like the more she tried, the more unmotivated and discouraged she became.
Just get through this week, she told herself. Over and over. It seemed like the weeks were never over, though.
Just as y/n was about to step away from the railing, she felt another, lighter, gust of air. This time, right on her face.
Her eyes fluttered open, at first a little blurry, but once everything came into focus, there were definitely a pair of upside down eyes blinking back at her.
y/n furrowed her brows and rubbed her eyes, sure she must be losing her mind, and opened them again, only to see nothing.
"Jeez, I'm so out of it," she scoffed, feeling sorry for herself.
"Will a kiss make you feel better?" If it wasn't for the tape that wrapped around her waist, y/n would've flown back 20 feet.
